C9 shows how horrible people can adapt to out of Meta Picks...

TIP picked Soraka 2 games in a row, again C9 didnt bother to pick any champ that can actually jump on her and delete her in teamfights, instead they again chose a frontline battle comp, which is actually where Soraka shines...

What are they hoping for? Karma and Ahri sniping her? If the enemy team picks Soraka, all you have to do is to pick an Assassin that can jump her and kill her before she can do.... oh wait, when she is in danger, she cant do anything anyway.

Just from the top of my head, I can name: Kha'zix, Diana, Zed, Yasuo and Rengar, who are all viable picks and able to delete Soraka in no time, making the game 4v5 for TIP.

But hell, guess powerhouse frontline will work C9, just dont leave the metagame comfort zone...

I mean... seriously, what are they supposed to do? The only one who has a chance to get in the backlines is ahri, who has to use every Cooldown for it.

So basicly they allowed Adrian to stay behind his team, all save, no risk at all, no danger of getting jumped...

The thing is it is really easy to punish diana. zed, yas in pro play since the second you pick them you give up your wave clear mid lane. (Yesterday keane picked fizz in game 5, no waveclear an he got wrecked for it). For rengar he doesn't have any early pressure vs an elise (and Rush's elise on top of that).

Soraka can stay so far back and spam heals which in it's self is ridiculous, since if everyone tries to dive the raka, keep in mind the enemy adc, top mid, all get to free fire at you which will also lose you the teamfight.

Yes they can get a better comp but I personally think it's more that soraka is fcking cancerous, the fact you have to adjust your whole team comp for a support, also notice that Soraka gets picked very late into the pick ban phase, I really hate this champ, sit back heal and just win trades fights.

The range on Sorakas heal is 550. That is not "far back" 550 is basicly the average attack range of an ADC. Actually, she has to run around in the battlefield alot.

Just to set that into a compareable picture: Namis Aqua Prison range is 875, her Ebb and Flow is 725 range. Jannas Eye of the Storm has a 800 range. Tarics Imbue range is 750

To make it even more clear: You remember the small dash Renekton has? thats 450 range, only 100 less that Sorakas heal. Same goes for Graves and Lucians small dashes.

These three are just to make you realise how small the range on Sorakas heal actually is.

She can do much, but staying "far back" is not an option.

K to your first point the champions you named with heals are very different to raka, and in no way can you compare them to her.

Namis ebb and flow doesn't heal for as much and can't be spammed as much, I play a bit of nami on my smurf and her mana costs are pretty high and spamming heals when they are up isn't exactly viable compared to raka who has a 10 mana cost on her heals, nami goes to 130 mana on rank 5. Janna's ult has a long cd I don't think you can compare that to what raka does. Taric has the same problem as nami, can't spam heals without going oom. (These champs are much more limited to mana/lesser heals)

As to your point in the 550 range it is pretty significant. If your in lane your sitting behind your adc who can have anywhere from 550 to 800 range. Add that on to your 550 range and yea soraka can stay very far back in lane.

Also as Raka you don't show your self immediately in a teamfight since you don't need to be there for your heals till after it starts. In a lot teamfights you don't sit there saving your dashes till raka shows up since you likely need them for before raka comes in to heal since your have to deal with the whole fight happening. She gets to stay pretty far back till people start using cooldowns in teamfights, also she has a silence to drop on her feet if someone tries to dive her.

Im not claiming she is op, but I definitely don't think she is fun to play against or very healthy in a game.

C9 also shows how a team in the brink of playing promo tournament can also almost qualify for worlds!

Nice system.
