"Relentless Malphite" Runes Build

Glacial Augment causes basic attacks to slow enemies. Used with Iceborn Gauntlet, Malphite can cripple enemies with an active W.

Hextech Flashtraption allows Malphite to blink into combat while Flash is on cooldown, and reduce the cooldown of Hexflash to 10 seconds. This let's Malphite have a steady means to jump out at daring enemies.

Magical Footwear there's something very rewarding about being given a 300 Gold item free of charge without having to leave lane. Additionally, boot builds are less expensive and grant more Movement Speed. Very good for this build design.

Approach Velocity Malphite's Q is an amazing tool for chase. Not only will the disc steal Movement Speed from the target, Approach Velocity buffers this even more by granting Malphite even more Movement Speed toward the targeted enemy. Good chance the enemy isn't escaping.

Resolve as a secondary gives Malphite +145 bonus Health and better potion/elixir potency. This will come in handy, as you may want to invest in Elixir of Iron.

Conditioning is essential as it provides +8 Armor, and increases Armor by 5% after the 10 minute mark. Malphite's W passively increases his Armor by a %, stacked with Conditioning the armor bonuses are insane.

Overgrowth is also essential as it adds .2% of your total Health as bonus Health for every 8 minions that die around you. Malphite's Passive gives him a shield equal to a % of his maximum Health. Overgrowth essentially increases this shield potency through the course of the game.

I thought slows no longer stacked (as of like a year ago) so you wouldn't need both glacial augment and iceborn gauntlet. Seems better to take either of the other two in that case.

The rest of it sounds great though!

I'm not sure tbh. I do know that enemies are tragically slowed when I pummel them.

The one thing that would make this build better is if AOE Slows on items worked to proc Glacial Augment. Like Righteous Glory- because the item's active is an AOE it doesn't cause the ground to turn to ice. Kind of bummy considering the description says plainly:

"Slowing Champions with active items shoots an ice ray through them, freezing the ground around them for 5s, slowing units inside by 50%."

I have tried that. Each champion hit gets their own laser. In practice tool and real game, if you do glp or randuins on 5 people, they each get a laser.
