What exactly is a "champion permanent"?

Risen29··1 votes·1,440 views

I have been waiting to get a champion shard so I can upgrade to mastery 7 without having to use BE. But now that I have it, I realize it doesn't work.

Googling revealed that a champion permanent is what you get by rerolling three shards into a permanent - yet rerolling shards was removed from the game.

So what is a champion permanent now?

Leftovers from the old system, i imagine.

You can use shards for both 6 and 7.

Thankfully I still can use the shard, I clicked on the wrong one by accident and was wondering why my shard didn't count as a permanent.
