Compensation Buffs for Supports

The first moment assassins get a hit with duskblade nerfs, every single one is buffed, but supports don't get anything. There's a reason shield supports get a lot of play, and it's all the damage flying around. I get the duration nerfs but the forbidden idol nerfs are a bit bad, especially with some champs who already got nerfs w/ their shields/heals (like rakan).

But the only compensation buff i actually care about is for redemption, a cool skill expressive item that scales with forbidden idol items. It's already in a kinda bad spot, but now this on top makes it worse. Athenes was buffed a bit due to the nerfs, but I wish this was touched...

Screw Redemption. It's a item that is completely uninteractive with a champion's kit and promotes +heal stacking to maximise its effect. Thereby reducing a champion into nothing more than a waking Redemption heal bot who can do nothing else.

You are delusional, egirl supports HAD to get significant nerfs as they could completely nullify a ranged hypercarries weaknesses, they had been way overtuned for well over a year

Don't even try and use the "they were only strong in x meta" hmm interesting cause janna has had a 54+% win rate for well over 3 years now in all sorts of metas. Maybe you should stop crying and accept your egirl support tactics won't work anymore and you need to adapt and improve yourself as a support

Can you not sound like an incel when typing pls kk ty? There's so much damage in the game that the duration nerf shouldve been enough. Plus redemption isnt that good unless you build the other items, plus some sups dont even bother with it anymore, and go with ardents ->athenes. It needs some tuning but hey, someone who plays Garen only wouldn't actually know how a support works.

Of course the support items needed nerfs as well, they were waaay too cost efficient for how cheap they all are not to mention supports generate crazy gold income nowadays so that furthers the problem

I don't see how me playing garen has anything to do with not knowwing how supports work, when I can overtake your peak elo in 1 placement game, cause if u truly believe the supports nerf yesterday wasn't justified then you further back up my point of just being an egirl who obtained fake elo abusing a broken style and now it's gone you can't adapt

I'm all for buffing supports, but 100% not shields. They were the laziest part of support, and totally negated the strategic portion of the role. Where I think support buffs make sense is through the GI/warding item. e.g. we need to upgrade it for blackout. We need to balance the GI item (why should you rush the relic line, and never finish the other two? why does the coin line make infinitely more money than the other two?)

Support needs some help re:diversity and this shield nerf will hopefully achieve that.

Tbh they shouldve at least buffed sups in other areas instead. Assassins lose slight damage on an item and have all their ratios and cds buffed, but supports don't get slight cd buffs, or more ms or damage on their other spells. Mages w/ mana nerfs werent compensated with mana buffs either too. I agree with the shield duration nerf but they shouldve just introduced the shield destroying item like they said they would. But now champs like Irelia, new Aatrox, and Pyke ignore shields well.
