No More Login Screens? Champion Pages?

Anyone else feels like riot just doesn't care anymore about putting love into this game? Login screens are one of my favourite parts of league, it's always hype to load up on a new patch to see the new champ on it, but Sylas was tacked onto the season 9 login (which I hate season logins personally), and Yuumi's login was incomplete AND not even shown logging in. Now no Mord one on PBE, DC Jhin feels not up to standard (same with BA Ezreal), and Qiyana's I'm doubtful of happening.

And now we're having champion reveal pages in client, which might be okay but they aren't even close to enjoyable as seeing the hype of a whole page for them, with visuals, videos, unique layout. I doubt we'll ever get as good as these in the client.

I'm just disappointed with this year, I love all these sorta things a lot and we're just. not getting them anymore. Why even make a champion theme song if you're not going to have a login screen for them? It's so pointless, and we can't even see the client champ reveals ever again, so that's also just sad. Y'all have such an amazing art team too, so not seeing the work we're used to is sad to see. I love riot art a lot..

Not going to start on how crap logins for MSI and all that feel, they don't make me personally feel hyped to play like a champion or a cool skin login.

Not gonna lie, we've all noticed this. It feels really weird, and I'm actually quite glad Kayle and Morgana had one. So here's my two cents on the matter -

On the one hand, I seem to recall Riot said they'd lost money last year, so maybe this loss influences these sort of things...? On the other hand, I'm wondering if, maybe, just maybe their resources aren't going in another project... We know there's at least one game in preparation, they've trademarked Legends of Runeterra, as well as what seems to be a distribution platfrom, Riot Forge. I'm thinking maybe, just maybe their resources are going into that. I hope that's the case.

I just wish they could tell us why. Interactions have been getting lighter, reveal pages are gone, animated login screens are MIA...

I think it had something to do with the schedule? IIRC, someone was saying Kayle/Morgana had problems that made them take more time which impacted the other champs in the pipeline, those being Qiyara, Mordekaiser and Yuumi. Considering how close they all were, I'm going to guess we should see things return to form after Qiyara. Could be wrong but I'll see.

I know the MSI event messed it up, but its weird that they are prioritising a Dark Cosmic Jhin login while Mordekaiser only gets a theme on youtube (Its looking like Qiyana is going to suffer the same fate.) I mean I prefer the Jhin one but I feel Mordekaiser deserves it more.

I think they got too much at the same time and didn't get the time to make all these pages and animations. Yuumi was delayed, Morde was delayed, Qiyana just arrives as well, MSI just happened, with the House thing, and Battle Academia skins, a new Jhin legendary skin next patch.

So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have the man power for less critical content.

But....but.....How are we gonna make money, if we give 1/100 of the money we make, into something unecessary and freeeeeeee So..um...root for our new prestige skins that will come out soon and forget about this, can ya?

Tbh with how many pro teams news there are in client I feel like they don't want us to play the game anymore, just watch and get the merch and tickets.

Being absolutely honest, I used to think Riot had the best propaganda ever. Like, seriously, everytime ANYTHING new was added to the game the media exploded like if a whole new game was being released.

Look at Jinx "trolling" and painting some character description pages, having an amaizing videoclip with an original and a logging screen that was a ruined version of Vi's. That level of hype and detail was incredible, every new champ was able ALONE to make people come back to the game.

Look at Ekko, he had a trailer, a comic book, a logging screen with fantastic background music and a gorgeously made design <3

And now look at how Neeko, Morde's Rework, Yuumi and Qiyana are thrown to us. With so little time between them, just a gameplay/bit lore trailer and a logging screen that can barely be seen because of the MSI one (Except Neeko, I know) :/ I get that with less effort put into these things thay can use more resources on Competitive and e-sports or/and on balancing and improving the game but dunno just feels like new stuff is being released in a HUGE rush without love :(

Odyssey event was, in my opinion, the last thing they did with that level of detail and passion.

Ehh not really bothered by the login screens anymore, the third stargaurdian skinline: "Academy years" login screen was so obnoxious almost as much as ez's particle effects , might have been influenced slightly by the letdown of the new skinline though. ######also was hoping for some odyssey style event.

The Odyssey/Lunar revel login screens were gorgeous though.

A morde login screen would have been cool instead of another "skin seller" login screen, it could of had part of his death realm moving in the background.
