PEOPLE AFKING IN RANKED/NORMS

I'm so sick and tired of people who AFK, especially in ranked. I was just in this ranked game where 3 minutes in the Ezreal realized Thresh had gotten relic sheild, told him to sell it, and when Thresh didn't he AFK'd. HOW IS THAT FAIR? I lost LP cause of ONE jackass. I've been having more and more games where people AFK for stupid reasons. It just REALLY pisses me off cause I feel like Riot does nothing about it and it feels like the people who pay for it are people like me who won't AFK. I know some people who go in norms and AFK for secular reasons which I'm okay with since that normal game won't affect your ranking. But I've just had enough of people who AFK in ranked games. I think Riot needs a system where you don't lose LP if someone AFK's or dc's. I know some people are going to be totally against that but think of it this way... Lets say you're doing your 10 games to be given a ranking. But in 5/10 of those games at least one person AFK'd. So 5/10 of those games it was a 4v5, which isn't balanced and usually means you don't have a chance at winning. So you lose at least 5/10 of those games, and you get put in Bronze or low Silver. Is it fair to say you deserved those rankings simply cause someone AFK'd? Idk, I just am so pissed at how many people AFK and it feels like they don't get punished. I'd rather be in a game with a super toxic person and win than an AFK and lose.
