@Riot - Question about how certain roles do in ladder.

I don't need a specific answer. I was just wondering if Riot collects data on how well certain role players (e.g., summoners who main mid vs. those who main support) climb/perform in the ladder? It just feels like some positions are better at gaining LP than others (for a very broad description).
