Why do we still have to wait for the end of champ select to pick our skins?

The old client allowed us to select our champion's skin immediately. Riot said they would alter the current client to reflect this, but so far nothing has changed.

I see some of the sarcastic comments, but coding takes time. Bear in mind they can't afford to ship anything with bugs that might crash the client, if they can avoid it at all, so there's also bug testing after they have it up and running. They have to design it so it looks nice, make sure it's functional, AND bug test.

If you've never done any coding, you're probably blissfully unaware of how much work that is. It's not a small job.

Especially considering how stupid a computer can be.

I have only taken very basic programming classes (the ones my school offered) and the computer has proven time and time again that I can't just write out what I'm thinking, since I already summarized it and do it without thinking.

And this is coming from only a few paragraphs of code at once. It's a little hard to imagine pages upon pages of code that can all break down with a single mistyped line.

The current client bugsplats, will take up to 5 minutes to load into a game randomly, won't load the store if you've been logged in for a while, etc.

Exactly. It's buggy enough without adding to it. They are trying to fix that nonsense, not make it worse.
