Why are jungle evelynns rushing a frostfang?

It seems to have a good win rate on her. Why is getting picked up on junglers and can we expect riot to nerf it soon because junglers are getting it now?

Cuz Frostfang is just ~~broken~~ one of the few viable AP items right now for every AP champion. Really no reason not to buy it.

It’s cheap, gives good stats and its amazing active and passive.

The passive alone (movespeed on stack proc) is enough for mages to want it.

Hopefully it doesn’t get nerfed until Riot does the AP item pass. It’s one of the few viable AP items right now.

This... makes me nervous, honestly. Actually, calling Frostfang an AP item makes me nervous, since it's a support item... I really hope if they do nerf it they don't make it worse for supports like Sona that take it. We just came off of the time where there was zero reason to take it over Coin, and I do not want to go back to that, Coin Sona feels awful.

Let's not add more MS to a jungle item thanks It shouldn't even have any to begin with and it was broken back when it had 10% MS with shit like Runic Udyr running around

They could just make it so that killing jungle monsters delays the gold passive.

Because no one wanted to play Support, so they gave them insane stats and gold generation on items.

The Bandit gold in Preseason was just overkill.

Frostfang gives Evelynn some gold to buy her costly core items with ( item 3089 , item 3135 ) while also giving her some MS, which are both extremely important for her.

######never buy protobelt or lich bane on evelynn please, rabadons is such a good early item and you need tons of AP######

No, I'm not. item 1402 > item 3098 > item 3020 > item 3136 > item 3089 / item 3135 is one of if not the best core build right now because of how well her kit scales with AP, and if you don't trust me, then you can ask r/EvelynnMains.

I think it’s gotten a lot better, there aren’t as many threads complaining about new Evelynn and people are finally getting around to it.

Well i dont trust nor you nor some subreddit that seems to be clueless about a champion. I have 115 games with eve 63% winrate 4.0 kda and i build both protobelt and lich bane which often allowes me to oblidarate squishies without using ult nor charm. Just qeqqq. Without those on hits/active you will lack dmg to oneshot at the most important moment.

Do you not trust them because they have a different opinion? Evelynn's kit scales far better with straight AP than a mediocre amount of AP and some actives; make a post there and ask them why those items are so good and they'll give you facts on why lich and protobelt are useless on her.

No, but it doesn’t prove that they are good, either. In a large sample size builds without protobelt have a higher winrate than those with it, and one player doing well with protobelt doesn’t make it an optimal choice.

This build also help to one shot with E: item 1402 ( item 3146 / or item 3152 ) item 3100 item 3147 item 3087 item 3020
