What do i do when someone on my team picks against their hardest lane counter?

Do i dodge? am getting sick of this. am getting sick of champ select auto loss. how do you get to gold and you don't know who the fuck counters who. give me a chance to win man don't auto loss me the game at champion select ffs. like holy shit. please don't do this to your team. i understand anything works in low elo. but picking agaisnt your hardest lane counters just never works. i never seen it fucking work they always feed their ass off and get out of lane with under 4 cs per minute its absurd

Happens all the time bud, I main top lane. I get countered maybe 40% of the time.

THERE is a different beteween you getting countered. and you COUNTERPICKING YOURSELF. when the enemy team blindpicks quinn. and you pick garen. you fucked up. thats your fault. if you pick garen. and the enemy team picks quinn. thats just unfortunate.

You're looking at this from a "Solo carry" standpoint. I've purposefully counter-picked myself because I knew Mid-Late-game our team synergy would override a simple 1v1 matchup.

You don't tilt and keep playing? Counters aren't the end all be all in a match. You can always counterplay your counter if you know what you're doing. (or at least go even in lane.)

It's more about who the player is comfortable with... this is like saying "What should I do if my teammate gets hard countered...?"

how do i exactly when when everyone on my team is 2-3 levels behind and 3-4 k gold behind to the enemy counterpart am its like am the only one thats putting any damn effort into the game,

Well, I would honestly somebody play from behind on their best champion, than counterpick with a champion they know nothing about. I'd rather have a LVL7 400k mastery point Garen go against Teemo top, than have him pick Riven who he has 3 total games on just because she counters Teemo.

what champion pool do people have in gold? i have 25 champions with level 5 mastery.

Champion pool has nothing to do with rank. BoxBox is a Riven one trick with minor experience in a couple other champions. Yet Challenger/Diamond player for years. It's simply a player choice or personality. Be super good with 1-5 champions or a specific type of champion. Or be okay at a large variety of champions.

i main riven. i get countered every single game but manage to win.

thats how top works right now. if you're not a meta slave playing kennen or jayce, you're a 1 trick with a spine.

This. I used to be unable to kill Pantheon in lane as Wu, but I kept on going in as Wu anyway. Why? To learn how. Guess what? I learned how. Now I hardly ever lose to Pantheon in lane.

It was like whenever everyone said in their guides that Darius counters Wu. I learned how to kill Darius.

Quinn, Nasus, Kennen, Olaf, Swain, Riven, Irelia, Teemo, Jax, Yasuo, and many others I used to struggle against...I learned how.

I never gave up because I knew that the only way forward is not to give up on what I know, but to expand upon it.

No. You made the best decision for the situation. Knowing a variety of champions is always a good thing, but sometimes champion styles just don't click with the player. I'd rather you Vayne into Cait if your next best adc is annie. Know what I mean?
