The funny thing about Sylas
players steal ults and then don't know how to really use em like a main would.
You can get away with that in norms, but in Ranked it shows and it's often punished hard

Learning curve
That's exactly what I noticed!! It's kinda funny to go against a Sylas who can outplay you in laning phase and then have him fall off so hard late game
That's not why he falls off. His entire kit is based around an all in atmosphere, and once teams align into "teams" he loses his ability to really even all in. The only part of his entire kit which plays at a safe range is the first Dash on his E. Everything else is either "go in and prone" or "don't go in at all"
His heal doesn't make up for the punishment either.
If he builds tank, his passive makes up for the damage loss quite a bit, and his sustain goes up, but if Conquerer or IE is in play, he generally still can't exist. Most high capacity mages/tanks/juggernauts/bruisers/fighters counter him at this point merely out of itemization.
It's not "not knowing how to use his ult"
at that point sylas is another mid lane support to the team just needs the right ult to support the team.
If by support you mean "ineffective champion who doesn't decide the win/loss by carrying" then yes. I agree with you.
i played Alot of sylas i know many unplayable matchups (namely morde) you will fall off if you grab only selfish ults only but if you have team oriented ults on your side you can over support the game having more deaths than kills but you win the game by assisting the team.
so very true im a fizz main i know this its funny watching a sylas take my ult as fizz then he fails using it efficently.
