New ARAM Re-roll for Less Dodges?

No other mode has so many people that dodge. Everyone does in ARAM from time to time

It's no mystery either... sometimes people just refuse to play a champion that they're stuck with.

Perhaps instead - When you reroll:

  • You get to choose from a list of random champions (so someone doesn't get stuck with the bane of their existence)

  • You get a champion that you have any mastery score on (meaning you're more likely to play that champion)

It's frustrating to have 2 rerolls, use one, get a champ you don't want, use the other, get the champ you had before the first reroll. That happens way too often. (stuff like that should never happen, it just encourages a dodge)

I feel this mode could use some improvement

It's random. If you don't like random champs, don't play the random mode. I don't get this.

ARAM is not about getting Lux/Morg/Cait/MF and a tank. It's about getting no agency over your picks or your comps and not having a map to hide behind. You get thrown into a 20 minute teamfight with time-outs and some pushing in between.

It's not supposed to be balanced. It's not supposed to be fair. It's goddam random.

I don't get why people think 'random' means 'catering to my limited ability to play one or two classes.' Tons of people slam Udyr for underperforming but as soon as someone grabs their manhood and takes him into game with a determination to win and some forethought, he's one of the most frightening bruisers. Bear and Tiger Stances are godsends when you're trying to peel for squishy carries. People just don't want to play melee because they think if they're not spamming QWER at all instances, they're being useless.

The kind of hand-holding people expect out of a random mode is flooring. Have we come so far that things can't even do that anymore? It can't be a simple feature in a for-fun game mode with no stakes?

It's gotta hand you only the dudes you wanna play? Why bother, then? Go play Rift. That's what that's about. There's probably tons of people who still run custom all-mid games in Rift too.

I'd rather see the game remember what champion you had when you dodge. For example, if you got Evelynn and dodged because you didn't want her, next time you load into a game you get Evelynn again. That way you keep the random element and disincentivise dodging.
