Being able to chat a little with your allies before queuing.
Sure it's good for strategizing but amazing for filtering out the people who don't take the game seriously, or you could join/make a team of less serious people if that's your fancy.
Also no autofill, less toxic/healthier gaming experience.

I love how they went on about "The system is not working as expected and so we will be removing it" And after a while they introduced Clash which is the excact same thing but hasn't gotten to work yet
Just search Team Builder league of legends. You can actually queue to find other players for open position ( those players queue as the champ they would play) the party leader would then either accept or reject the player that is queued with them (if they liked their pick or not). Once the team is assembled, everyone in the party would have to do a ready check and then enter queue to find an enemy team.
I miss Teambuilder too. :( It was WAY less of a toxic experience. If you joined a lobby and someone was a piece of shit, you could leave and there was 0 punishment to you. Teambuilder was slow but, honestly, 100% worth the weight. it was also just flat out better for off meta players; you could queue up as like... Ashe Support and it would be okay because if someone wasn't okay with your off meta bullshit, they could kick you. Or if they were, they'd just shrug and go whatever. I loved LOVED Teambuilder and I hate that they took it away.
