To be honest, Trinity force is kind of a stat stick.
Not saying its a good or bad thing, but what doesn't it have besides AP?

Originally the item had every single stat you could get. It had AD, Mana, Crit chance, AP, %MS.
Little by little its been nerfed. It lost its AP and gained increased crit chance. Crit chance was then removed. Of course the cost also decreased too.
Main reason the AP was removed was because lichbane fulfills the niche, though some champions such as Jax, pre-rework evelynn, did enjoy it.
It's the most expensive Item in the game. It gives low health, not much mana, and no crit chance. Champions who use it have to rush it, meaning that if theyre even in gold with their enemy laner who's rushing, say, black cleaver, the enemy laner gets their complete item nearly 1000 gold before the triforce user finishes their item. Good players can easily abuse this advantage.
You're forgetting to mention that Sheen by itself is one of the biggest early powerspikes in the games, and has had entire champions rebalanced. Phage in itself also gives characters like Darius even more lane control. These advantages along can majorly shift a lane, causing someone to get Triforce before another person finishes an item.
Yes, Sheen is strong, but it also leaves you extremely vulnerable since tanks will be building armor, bruisers will be building black clever (giving damage and health) and ranged will be building damage, leaving the triforce user STILL in a vulnerable spot. Sheen rushers are no stronger than glacial shroud rushers or Phage rushers (unless you're Irelia)
Also, most triforce users are getting nerfed next patch anyways (camille, jax, and irelia coming off the top of my head) so maybe this issue will balance itself for OP.

you mean nerfed.
I pretty much never buy Triforce. The only time I've ever bought it was back on Season 3 Irelia, and that was just because my play style was to maximize her true damage opportunities.
