What's the general opinion on Thornmail?

Because voicing my own opinion tends to provoke pitchforks and torches, I'd like to ask what the rest of you think about it.

I might get downvoted for this but I personally dislike the design behind the idea. It is an item that is just terrible by desgin. If people attack you, they are damaged. An item that punishes you for AAing someone is just a terrible design.

I think it could and should be reworked into something much more interactive.

I agree with it. It needs to have some skill requirement to it instead of being passive.

When i'm playing Caitlyn and i have item 3031 item 3085 and item 3087

Then the enemy tank builds item 3075

Suddenly i cant ever touch them again unless i pop 6k out my fucking ass.

Thornmail is not an interactive item and needs to be changed to something else.

It's a good situational early item, read tank vs autoattacker lane, and not so good late game.
