Just curious: What happened to URF?

That said, where has URF gone? I understand Riot and the gameplay designers were looking into different formats for it but it's been a solid few months and we've heard nothing about it.

Is there a snag with new champs/champ updates like Kled and Yorick? Are you struggling with the system to bring it back with? Do you just not want to bring back URF and make it more "special"?

That said, if we could lose one mode, I wouldn't mind tossing poro king. Comparative to the other modes where you've improved and iterated on them (IMO Ascension is your strongest mode and I'd love a normal queue for it), Poro King feels largely left in the dust and untouched. If you're really not finding any interest/solutions to it, maybe it's time to swap it for something else?

It was pulled so they can fix the problem of the same 5 champs being constantly cheesed.

It's a part of the featured game mode. Modes come and go especially if they need to be work on. While most people probably did enjoy Urf, a lot of other people didn't like it for things like having a meta created, seeing the same champions being played over and over again tends to all get boring really fast. So it probably got pulled not only to make room for other game modes (we still haven't seen modes like Doombots put into the featured game mode) but to also improve and try to make it enjoyable for everyone.

For me i have a rule when i play Urf. I will play champions i never play or rarely play and i only use that champion once during the game mode is active. It keeps the game fresh for me, but it gets boring when i am played against or see the same 10-15 champions played over and over and over again. Like i guess to some people playing one champion is "fun" I dont have fun playing the same thing over and over again! Then there is the fact people just take the game mode way too serious. Its sad when a game mode that is suppose to be a joke is taken as seriously, or even more so than Rank. I remember i would get harassed just because i want to play a certain champion that may or may not have been viable in Urf. But it's a joke mode, relax and calm down enjoy the game for what it is worth!
