So yea, every new or remake "squishy" can escape it. Except for Jhin. To an extend tallya provided her ult is on cd. As for the bruisers I don't think J4 wan'ts to be stuck in there with yoric,illoi or poppy.

So still a vilable utilty? or circumstantial like urgot's ult?

j4 ulti does a lot of damage.. it's not JUST the wall...

Taliyah can't because J4 will be attacking her and preventing her from riding her ult, just saying.

They also cleared up issues with riven E'sing over his ult, so now it takes 3 Q casts to get over, and Vayne can no longer tumble out. Udyr is also very situational for getting out, there has to be a target within his bear stance aa range, and they have to be far enough from the wall for his lunge to take him over.

Sure there are plenty fo champs that can escape, but they almost all have to burn cds to do so. On top of that the ult does massive aoe dmg and creates impassible terrain, which makes it a powerful zone control tool.

I find it's best used for trapping targets who've used their abilities recently. Ezreal is a champion you think can easily escape it, but if you bait him into dashing away from you as you're about to land your knock up on him, you can ult him immediately after and spank him to death.

Unless it's Yasuo we are talking about, champions have cooldowns on their abilities. Considering that Cataclysm deals absurd amounts of AOE damage and serves as gapcloser, and how powerful res of J4's kit is, it's utility being situational is completely fine.

terrain that can be created like J4 also serves as a way to force opponents into going a certain direction/cut off paths people can take in teamfights. Even though vayne can (could?) tumble out of it, using it (in front of her) can cut off her path to a teamfight, rather than directly trapping her in it.

Much like a squishy can not run directly into zyra's plant, or oriana's ball or gp ult. But are forced to run around it and give up their optimal pathing.

It's not that noticeable for you when using it, but it really sucks if you have to find a way around this terrain as a squishy
