Riot are you using fucking conditioning tactics on a game that kids play?

This reddit thread voices my concerns better than I can, so please look at it for reference. https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/7bsfy5/how_riot_is_conditioning_us_to_invest_more_time/

Riot, if you are using conditioning tactics that casinos and mobile games use to bait money out of their players on your game that has a significant player base of minors, then that's fucking disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Frankly, I'm not going to support a game or a company that is ok with using these kinds of psychological tactics on their player base that--once again--consists largely of minors.

Maybe I'm overreacting but I have exactly zero tolerance for the exploitation of children, and I refuse to give my time or money to a company that is guilty of such a practice. Ok, rant over.

You're acting like they didn't before.

Skinner boxes are the model of pretty much every online and every F2P MTX game ever. And it has always been an aspect of League.

It's okay because they are POINTS, and not money.

i do know riot applies the ''god complex'' method, making op characters, and lots of skins on them so players get addicted to these characters and buy tons of skins for them, you will never see them being nerfed properly, i call it ''god complex'' since you get to one shot with it easy and thus feel like a god.

unfortunatly players that play other rather soso balanced or underwhelming characters experience the opposite, but continue to play due to the fact you can still outplay them, or find other methods, or are simply addicted to the game or the new content being released every month, or simply want to have all champions and skins, not greed per se just the sense of acievement and accomplishment to overcome ''hero complex''.

punish and reward seems their psychological game, they even try to affect you before entering a match experimenting with sentences and colors, i guess its all about control.

edit: to make it more clear

when you keep losing you want to continue until you win, is what i mean with ''hero complex''.
