Would it not be better for a mage to have better scaling and less raw power? I noticed her scaling was lowered but her raw power increased. I get it's still a nerf but from what i've noticed mages with poor scaling and higher raw power usually end up bot or nowhere.

Sraeg20136 votesIf Syndra is meta it means your balance is completely fucked, because you nerfed pretty much every champion that she struggles against.
This change isn't going to do anything substantial, meaning if they really want to "replace" her (as a meta pick) they will have to nerf her further, which eventually is going to put her back in the 45% winrate tier... unless aforementioned counter picks will get buffed before that point.

To compensate, maybe a damage buff on scaling? Would reward properly aiming spells and maybe would get rid of the the "'skillful outplay' lol" identity on her ultimate.
DemainaNyx1 votesYeah, it should sorta be like a reverse Zed ult. If you land a basic ability, your ult does more damage. It would reward good players who attempt to hit stuff, not the "stack balls away from fight and flash ult ADC for a kill" players.

And yes surprisingly enough in this current meta a lot of lanebullies/early game champs are played and hence the complaints about them, shocking i know and unlike a few seasons ago a lot of these champs don't fall off as they used to do or they straight up scale like crazy (hi fiora, ori, cait) which kinda breaks riots former design philosophy. Sometimes using that thing sitting inside your head is actually useful.
