Why are ap champions allowed to be tanky? And why are nearly all of the ap items given some form of defensive stat? Tanks such as

and others, are building ap items, but retain their tanks stats and do shit tons of damage and keep on tanking. Why is this allowed? How is that balanced?

Well first off there are ad items that do both yes, but not nearly as much as ap. 
etc. Secondly Yasuo was nerfed for doing both ad and tank. So why shouldn't tanks be nerfed for doing the opposite? I can build amumu pure tank and still be ap with high damage with no drawbacks.

yes those are tanky items, but who builds all of them other than tops who tank? yasuo doesn't build hydra, but u can bet brand will build rylais.

TF isn't a tank item either. It and BC are bruiser items. In fact, all of those items are bruiser items.

Cooldowns. AD can auto attack while ap tanks need their spells. Also AD champs have good offensive options too. They have titanic hydra, cleaver,steraks,maw, LIFESTEAL, merc scimitar, triforce and many many more

AP doesn't do as much auto yes, but most of them are op strong and can kill with one hit. So giving them tankier items is broken. lifesteal = 
countered. tank items such are hydra which gives you health, yup, countered. merc scim, steraks, triforce, all out played by ap kits which are nearly all stuns and roots and slows and etc.

LMAOO I CAN SAY THE SAME THING ABOUT AD. Maw and steraks counters that ap oneshot! Steraks triforce and scim counter those stun roots and slows! AD counters all ap items because they get outplayed by damage and sustain!
Are you fucking literally bronze? The whole point of merc scim is to counter CC. Lol ap counters ITEMS? Totally not the player getting ouplayed. Its the item getting outplayed.

Pretty sure we only have 3 tanks with AD scalings.

Maw,titanic,cleaver,mallet,triforce(gives hp), and steraks kinda. so 4 main items to 6 main items AP vs AD. meanwhile AD champs can build straight tank and do damage.. AP based champs do 0 damage on a true tank build. id like to see a ahri do damage with a randuins spirit visage and ect.. yasuo roflstomped almost everyone with 1 real damage item.. if you see one of the champs building AP you wanna know how to counter it???? build MR...
