Do bronze players not know what qss is?

I actually (depending on my lead) will still rush qss on Kat against malzahar. The item itself is invaluable against certain champions and I rarely see my or the enemy marskmen run qss against teams with urgot,ww, malz, cc heavy teams in my elo. They seem to find GA more valuable against say a cc heavy team with sejuaini or thresh... news flash: your GA is useless if it gets you killed twice...! Probably better off getting something that can STOP you from dying due to poor positioning or just getting gangbanged.

Foo I posted the topic and I'm bronze. Ive just got like 6-7 years of normals under my belt. not all of us are stupid but most of us are.

My gold teammates don't even know what Grievous Wounds is, so I would bet that's the case. Honestly, if I have to rush Morello on Nami because my ADC can't be bothered to get EC vs Maokai, Mundo, and Soraka, then I don't know how these people got here in the first place.

I always get QSS first back in Akali vs Malz and it works out great. They never expect it which is hilarious. All you have to do is engage and make him pop his ult, QSS it, disengage, and then go back in after you've healed up and kill him because he can't stop you. I actually even did it in the last game I played.

I died to a tower dive, but Malz couldn't do anything at all to me after I got the QSS. The rest of my team fed hard af tho so we lost.

I guess I have an itchy finger because after I QSS I always just try to kill him which ends in me getting the kill and also dying. Still hate the fact that I have to buy an item that does literally nothing for me outside of break Malz ult in most situations just to deal with him. It's not fair.

It's both a strength and weakness of Malz/Skarner. Making your opponent have to give up 1300 gold and an item slot to deal with your ult is very powerful. Once they do complete the item it makes it a lot harder to play because it negates your ult so you need to utilize the rest of your kit well to be able to be useful. Perfectly reasonable imo. If you don't wanna pay the price to deal with Malz/Skarner it'll make the game a lot harder for you, but if you are willing, then you will have a big advantage over them. That's why it's called the Malz/Skarner tax.

I've never felt it the need to use it for Skarner honestly. I don't play vs him that much but usually when he actually gets me, I have enough time to get away before he drags me to his team, or my team is close enough by to save me, or at the very least win the teamfight while he is also unable to do anything outside of move.

I personally don't think it's a good way to balance something. I'd much rather they just rework Malz ulti to be more useful to him but also more outplayable rather than outbuyable. You can dodge WW ulti, Skarner has to be in your face and can't do anything either, but Malz just clicks you(or hovers over you). I don't really feel like whether an ult is useful or not should be determined by whether or not it's allowed to actually exist.

I know the feeling. They could just give him a point stun like tf or annie, or make his Q stun in a line so it's a skill shot. Ofc then everyone would still complain but, I'd rather he had a point and click stun that was on a 4-6 second cd like TF then a point and click suppress that was on a 180 second CD.

No they probably don't, but as a malz main I can tell you i rarely see anyone buy it anyway. People undervalue it, especially on AP champions, despite the fact it counters malz in the hardest way. They just go "I'm not spending 1300 gold to live no matter what he does, I'd rather be able to sit in lane for an extra 2 minutes, which I won't get to do anyway because I'll die so I can rage"

I'm had 2 people buy a QSS against me in the last month, one was plat, the other was gold. Bearing in mind I've play against 50 or so plat/gold players in that time, as well as some diamond too.

I'm not complaining though, it's the only reason malz still has a decent winrate, and right now he needs all the help he can get! xD
