kha'zix is utter shit right now and is in desperate need of buffs due to how reliant he is on isolation

but to answer your question

if you were isolated then kha'zix will blow you up as TF, his Q deals insanely high damage like up to 1,200+ and that's easily enough to delete you

Either they delete isolation, or he isn't getting the buffs he needs. Most people don't want either, so don't expect him to be in a good place any time soon.

isolation is a core part of kha'zix identity so it's not getting removed

that also doesn't have to be removed to give him buffs as he received very small buffs lately, he just needs better buffs than of late

On one hand, the current isolation will either get removed (reworked), or so far removed, as far as power, that it won't be a large part of his kit anymore, that way he doesn't rely on it.

Or he stays the same, because any major buffs and he becomes a problem to the entire game again.

But yeah, keep trying to call it a black/white fallacy because you can't comprehend the implications of statements. Maybe do some research into what a fallacy actually is and come back.

They've changed identities before, they can do it again. Besides, evolution is his core, not isolation. Isolation is a touch they added to his kit.

you only gave two possibilities when more exist, that's a fallacy numb nuts, don't tell me to do research when you clearly don't even know yourself

and kha'zix isn't just about evolution, he's also about feasting on rengar, which translates into becoming the ultimate hunter as they even made a little game for that

and you see what a good hunter would do is isolate their target then kill them, as this is what many predators do when hunting, which kha'zix is, for him to have an isolation mechanic while trying to become the ultimate hunter makes complete sense and taking it away wouldn't make much sense

There really aren't more possibilities. His passive in its current state is so powerful that the rest of his kit suffers. If its not powerful, its unnoticed, thus essentially 'removed.' If they make it more powerful, it becomes gimmicky and unsatisfying for anyone playing against it. Explain to me what they can re-buff about him without breaking him again. Please try. Give me another example of what they can buff without him becoming a problem again. Prove to me there are more legitimate options. Sometimes there really are only two options, so again, find a better argument than screaming "FALLACY!!" and thinking you win.

You're not describing his core identity, you're describing an aspect of lore they tied into his kit. Not every game has a Rengar, so that pretty much sets you as wrong right there.

His core identity is absolutely "consume and adapt." Evolution. Isolation was to reinforce the predator aspect, but there are many ways they can reinforce that in a healthier way...which again, includes deleting the current iteration of isolation, whether its becoming something else entirely, or a rework, such as a stun or something instead.

his current passive is pretty shit when the second someone groups you're now useless

you see kha'zix just needs better ability to fight enemies even when there's two of them around

enough to 100-0 someone like they're isolated? no, enough to fairly compete? yes

and don't use straw man against me

i didn't use a fallacy fallacy and point out your fallacy then do nothing else, i addressed part of your argument, so no i didn't just scream fallacy and act like i won, think for a moment

anyway

how to buff him?

i personally feel like he needs more defense

he seriously cannot compete against tahm at all who is popular or a lot of ADCs who are also popular obviously

to give him more defense to allow him to somewhat compete i feel like would be nice and not be overbuffing him as you're not buffing what's hard to balance which is his damage

to address lore

dear, i'm going to make this really simple for you, an aspect of lore that has to do with a champion also has to do with their identity and who they are, i mean, how do you think we ever understand these champions and why their kits are designed in certain ways? kha'zix kit is set up like a predator because that's what his lore also describes him as and it extends out to him wanting to become the ultimate hunter, it's not hard to understand at all, go read it if you want

and yes his core identity is evolution, along with being a predator or ultimate hunter, as his lore shows

if you have a good idea for why his isolation mechanic should be deleted and replaced with something else then tell me

If he's powerful outside of his passive, that means he's too powerful with his passive, in which case it needs to go if you want the rest to get buffed. Its too situational and considering the game revolves around team-fights, where his passive is mostly useless, there's no answer that's good for everyone involved. He's either going to be too strong or too weak with how he is now.

I didn't throw out a single straw man. You're simply someone that likes to throw out fallacies you think fit the situation to try to win an argument when your argument holds absolutely no ground in itself.

Riot has tried making Kha viable while being satisfying for the user and not over-bearing for the opponent. There's a reason they aren't doing anything drastic with him despite him looking like he needs it.

Its not just meta pushing him out. He has intrinsic problems in his kit that prevent him from being seriously buffed. The most they'll do is make him usable, not 'viable.' When Kha becomes viable, we always end up in an assassin meta, because that's the best way to handle him and have the same pick potential as him.

They're already talking about a rework for him anyway, so that means my thinking is in line with theirs and yours isn't. Try taking another look and come back.

this is my last reply before i go to bed

  1. he isn't going to be powerful, he's just going to have the ability to compete, this doesn't mean deleting someone when people are around, this doesn't mean being unable to die, this just means being able to deal damage without being dead the second he shows himself around the enemy team grouped up, and this damage isn't going to be super high at all, and again, quit using black-or-white, there's a thing called a middle ground y'know

  2. yes you did, you specifically said this... "Sometimes there really are only two options, so again, find a better argument than screaming "FALLACY!!" and thinking you win."

  1. you don't dictate what holds ground and what doesn't kiddo

  2. when? links?

  3. not true, kha was somewhat viable in tank meta and there was no assassin meta going on there, also his kit doesn't have major issues like katarina and fizz do where balancing them becomes a tipping scale

  4. links? sources? and your thinking line being with riot is meaningless and to try and use that as an argument against me, are you actually using the appeal to authority fallacy, or not here? because let's not forget that riot reworked fiora and look at what we got, along with these champs who got reworked/slightly changed: Ahri Akali Darius Graves Lux MissFortune Mordekaiser Twitch they totally had a good impact on this game

AD assassins aren't going to be able to compete since LW functions on bonus armor now. The old LW was a crutch for AD assassins in conjunction with other pen items. You keep ignoring what I'm saying. There is no healthy option for buffing him into being reliable at the moment. Wait until after the new assassin itemization comes, see if he can function.

And Riot dislikes AD assassins because they're non-interactive. They either do their job or they don't. You going to call that a black/white fallacy when that's what Riot has stated time and time again? I'm going by what Riot wants, which is the one you'd have to appeal to, and the one you're getting results from. Its not an appeal to authority because in this unique situation, Riot actually is the be-all-end-all.

Assassins are binary. Stated by Riot, who has absolute control. They can't buff X champion because they can't be viable without being over-bearing. Stated by Riot, who has absolute control. Kha'Zix is one of them. Talon is another. Shaco tends to be another, though his situation is pretty unique itself. Kat tends to be another. Its not just Kha'Zix. Its overall poorly crafted kits that have too many eggs in one basket. If that basket breaks, which is more often than not, they feel useless. If not, they're far too reliable as assassins.

I've been mentioning things Riot has stated time and time again, and you keep trying to tell me its a fallacy. I don't need to source it because I honestly don't care if you believe me or not. If you really wanted to know, you'd find the info yourself.

Riot themselves believes that there is no middle ground for those champs. Its the same reason they've done several reworks on other champions already.

Just because you're too lazy to look up information I'm telling you that Riot has said doesn't mean I've been using fallacies.

I'm informing you and you just don't want to believe what I'm saying is true.

Also, nobody said Riot can't be wrong. But they DO hold absolute control over the balance of the game, so what they want still happens, and you have to deal with that. You can try to make an argument, but for all you've said, you haven't made a single one that suggests why he should be buffed when his spot in the game has to be determined after their new itemization comes out, along with the fact that Riot wants to rework Kha'Zix in general to make his evolution more satisfying...which would include trimming power from somewhere else in his kit. Most likely his passive, where most of his power sits.

  1. pretty sure you mean ability based AD assassins with the exception of lee sin cause nocturne and tryndamere are doing just fine

  2. buffing kha'zix tankiness might work a bit idk but you don't seem to want to say anything about that

  3. stated where? sources? links? and i don't see how riot could dislike AD assassins when they had tons of itemization for them not too long ago

  4. sources? links?

  5. because your arguments have had fallacies, riot can commit fallacies too dear, and you can repeat them, and why wouldn't you source it? be a good person and actually spread some good information? geez why do you think this is only to prove you're right? and no, i've tried searching up many things by riot and it's difficult to sift through it, why waste my time when people can be kind and give me the links/sources?

  6. sources? links? sounds like something they would state and what reworks are we talking about here

  7. you have been using fallacies, me not looking up information about riot and you using fallacies have no correlation unless you're repeating riot's own fallacies, really bad argument here with little point to it

  8. i need sources/links to believe things you say about riot, anything else is opinion and you know it and i don't have to believe it and it isn't fact or truth either, if you'd like to be a good person here you can actually give me some links/sources and i can learn more about riot's motives instead of sitting here like a duck waiting for the egg to hatch of a baby chick who comes out and gives me some sources/links about riot and their motives

To your edit, I'm assuming the itemization will come later, if it isn't then yes waiting would be more rational for balancing to be done.

And his Q passive right? Because I'd like his passive to be reworked as it's just a boring slow.

  1. Auto-based assassins aren't really 'assassins' in League with the exception of Rengar and sometimes Xin. The others don't blow you up when they get to you. There's plenty of time to react to most of the Auto-based 'assassins.' Most of them cease to function after they use their gap-closer if there's any hard CC on your team.

Gap closer doesn't mean assassin. Assassin, in League, reflects game-play patterns. And yes, that does usually include, specifically, AD casters.

In the past "assassin" tag was just tacked onto anybody with a gap-closer. Its extremely high single target burst, though. That's what people refer to when they say "assassin."

  1. If you buffed his tankiness, he'd start using more bruiser-ish builds, riding out on his passive and Q's base damage potential with CDR for more mobility/slows. A small buff to his tankiness wouldn't help him do his job better, since currently that mostly revolves around kill-potential. If you buff it to the point where it does let him do his job, bruiser builds would undoubtably take over if it didn't just make him an assassin you can't counter without your entire team being with you. Rengar's an easy reference for how this goes, except Kha would get hit even harder after because he has more tools readily available to successfully function than Rengar at any given time. So yes, you COULD buff him, but it wouldn't be what Kha needs, and would only be excess power if he ever were viable afterwards.

  2. The itemization assassins have used were never directly intended for AD assassins outside of Ghostblade. LW was intended as a counter to armor stacking tanks. Ravenous Hydra was just an AoE option for any melee. I guess you weren't there when everyone was complaining that AD assassins were weak around a year ago, or any other time they were weak after an assassin-viable meta. Riot states every time that they will not give them any direct buffs because they do not like the binary patterns assassins have, which leads to unsatisfying interactions in-game. This time is rather extreme, so they have stated that new assassin itemization is on the way, but assassins as a whole will likely be getting reworked at the same time.

  3. I'm not going to source it because EVERYONE that's been playing for a while knows these things have been said by Riot. You can choose to believe me or not. You'll see when they address assassins as a whole.

  4. Riot makes decisions based on past problems. While it limits their forward movement, they still go by it. That's not a fallacy, that's a conscious decision to avoid taking a step in the wrong direction. They want to find a new way to help the class grow, rather than push them back toward being a problem in their current state. Their current exceptions are base stat buffs, which they've been trying to use to fine-tune champions when they feel their kit is already fair, but they're too powerful/weak at the moment.

  5. I would go out and find them if I were invested enough, but honestly I've given up on this game with its latest turn. If you go to surrender@20, they have stated that new itemization is on the way to compensate for the loss of LW, but they also stated that they'll be looking at the state of assassins as a whole with it. That's going to be after the mage update, most likely. The other ones are 1 year or more old. There's a chance you'll find them if you sift through Reignofgaming's red tracker.

  6. Even if I'm re-stating Riot's fallacies, you still have to realize that Riot is purposefully not taking a step back, which is what would be required to accomplish pretty much anything you're looking for with kha'zix. They've essentially backed him into a corner, balance-wise.

  7. Its not my fault you're choosing not to believe me. It really isn't. It would be very difficult to find any of the sources I should grab, as most of them are very old, and haven't been revisited by Riot because they have been so adamant on their position. Again, I'm not invested enough in the state of assassins or the game anymore to really want to go through the effort. I'm telling you what I read. Its up to you whether you want to be a cynic or not.

Also, please stop acting like a child just because things aren't going your way.

  1. i'm not giving you a genuine reply until you give me some links/sources and don't switch to ad hominem while giving zero examples as to how i'm a child

  2. you clearly didn't read my edit

  3. read 1 and 2 and come back

  4. let me play this game, please stop acting like a child just because someone asks you for sources/links

That right there. The way you're responding is needy and grabby. I already told you that you could look it up just as easily as I could at this point. That's how you're being a child. Stuff is being handed out to you, but not the stuff you want. And even though you're just as capable of getting the information yourself, you refuse to.

In addition, you're trying to use fallacies incorrectly AGAIN. Considering my 'personal attack', if you could call it that, was ENTIRELY seperate from my argument, its not ad hominem at all. You're STILL trying to use them where they don't fit. I was asking you to not act immature after I concluded my piece. That's not an insult. That's not trying to make an argument out of it. That's not ad hominem.

Stop trying to stroke your ego by shouting fallacies at everything.

i already told you i can't find what you're talking about

and you have given zero sources/links/anything for all of the stuff you're telling me

ZERO

i'm not refusing to, i already explained why i can't find the information on my own

learn to fucking read jesus christ

but y'know what if you're going to be a total dick and not be helpful and give me what RIOT you claim has said then what's the point?

i'm trying to get information that i can't find and you don't want to give it to me

what the fuck is your deal here?

i already explained why and you keep blabbering on about "xd you can find it on your own," which shows you can't fucking read what i've already told you

edit: and here i am thinking why do i even bother with you people

you guys make everything harder

i'm genuinely interested in riot's motives about kha'zix, assassins, and others

so i ask for a source/link

but of course you won't give it to me and tell me to go find it myself when i already said i didn't find anything

seriously, we could be having a discussion right now with the sources/links you could have provided, yet you held back, why? there's literally no reason to hold back

If you're ever isolated, he'll blow you up, regardless of how tanky you are.

However, his use is pretty limited. He suffers from being an assassin, and being one that's either too strong or too weak. He's basically Skarner's child. The new nerf/rework bug. Expect a rework for him in time.

i want to see some consistency in these champions. rengar. him. I mean they either destroy you or feed you. carry you or feed the team. there is LITERALLY nothing in between.

That's simply how assassins work. They aren't a positive addition to the game, even if they can be fun to play. Either the ones playing them or the ones playing against them suffer.

There's no instance where both sides enjoy assassins being in a game.
