Did anyone notice a little gimmick about zed

Due to the fact that his ultimate is removable ... zed gets to have even more power loaded into it

which creates 2 cases 1 zed is insanely strong when counter items are not present ... he is so owerloaded with damage that it is barely possible to stop him 2 zed is underwhelming when counter items get present ... since he needs a lot of item to compensate for lack of his ult

i dont realy consider this to be a smart move of riot since zed loses a big part of his power when death mark gets removed they just pumped loads of power into that area

now zed cant be allowed to function without his ult cause he would be god damn broken and he cant be allowed to function only on his ult cause he would be god damn useless

right now he is between those 2 cases

when he gets countered by items ... he is lackluster unless couple items ahead

when he doesnt ... he dominates

His ult only doesn't get countered at bronze/silver elos, hence why most complaints are from there

at higher elos its 100% guaranteed someone will counter your ultimate.

Reducing the cost of item 3157 really has screwed Zed. People cry about having to buy an item to counter him but they don't realize how hard that item counters him, it essentially removes him from the game.

It's not like it's a bad item anyway. Most mages buy it regardless.

People building items to counter champs doesn't break the champion. If anything you are forcing another player to commit to a less optimal build. Kind of like WW forcing people to build the sash unless they want to get their face scratched off.

You are forced to build according to champion picks.

just how you are forced to rush a zhonyas against an AD mid or how you are forced to rush armor against an all AD team.

how is building what you need less optimal?

I guess I should have specified less optimal as far as dps is concerned. Ofc you build your items around the other team comp.

you face a jax ... you get frozen heart

jax lost like 20% of his power ... its k you countered him with items anf you have the advantage

you face riven ... you get tonns of armor and she loses power which she regains by getting arpen

its fair she loses a part of her power becuase you picked good itemsand you have an advantage

you face zed ... you get zhonya zed loses his kill potential and every time he will try to all inn you he is likely to accomplish nothing ... the only 2 results here are when zed doesnt derp and does nothing to you ... or he derps and dies

yopu dont have an advantage but completly dominate him just because one item

thats not a fair counterplay

with adc's its diferent ... becuase they dont lane vs zed directly and their item cant be built as their first item but in the end its very similar

and the response from riot is to showe power in zeds ultimate so you have to get zhonyas
