So what is the point of using Alister even when he got buff any more after Raken comes out?

The new champion Raken W pretty much does 50% of Alistar kit all in one ability LoL. Was the buff for Alister suppose to make him seem good to use?

Alistar's knockup is almost undodge-able. Rakan's W is delayed. Alistar is also tanky and has another strong CC after the knockup, so he can stay in a fight without blowing up.

The point of Alistar is to be a disruptor with his Q W and the stun on his E. His passive is to help their sustain giving them the edge.

The big difference between Alistar and Rakan's CC is that Alistar's CC comes from his basic abilities without delays. While Rakan's is more mobility focused and needs his ult to fully utilize.

Another difference is that Alistar is naturally tanky through his build path and his ult allowing him to frontline enemy skillshots. Meanwhile Rakan is a jump-in-jump-out style that doesn't frontline very good.
