Kayle really needs her VGU

Kayle is the definition of a statcheck. It's like Teemo except take away all utility and add more stats.

Yeah you can heal somebody else or ult somebody else, or you can be a filthy animal and just use them on yourself every time, and it works.

Better leave her without a lore before they turn her into a person wich got possesed by the spirit of helmets who got made by having 2 gay people getting beaten to death by a crowd of racist uncles who went into the void and came out with a 2 yellow teeth and some Kinder suprise egg.

can someone explain to me what statcheck means

It means that fighting her isn't really a test of your skills, it's just checking to see who has higher stats. This complaint is often thrown at characters that lack skillshots or mechanics that require much choice on the part of the person playing them.

Kayle for instance, right clicks you and presses Q, then E. Neither can miss and then who wins is based on if she has the stats from her items to beat you not any skill on her part. Oh sure, her W and R play a factor, but barely one... since they're BOTH also impossible to miss and they're just used when needed. The ONLY skill involved in kayle winning a 1v1 is if she predicts the enemy well enough to ult as they use a high damage spell or something. Therefore, she is primarily a test of your stats, not your skill. She is checking your stats, if you will. A statcheck.

Granted, the enemy can still outplay KAYLE if they have a more versatile kit (they will), but Kayle herself has no real options beyond "Q then E, W and R if needed" in every fight. None can miss and the only ways she can "outplay" you involve mechanics outside her kit... like juking into bushes to drop line of sight or flashing a wall or something.

Does that explain it?

It's not like you ever have to make any sort of guess when you interact with her even if your champ has outplay mechanics. You just use things at the correct times and you get the most optimal utility out of your kit. Either that's enough to beat her or it isn't.

I just like her theme and want to see how she's developed but always remember she plays like Kog without the range.

My biggest problem with her visually is her auto animation. I feel like Aether Wing's auto animation should have been the one used from the beginning, but I do understand that Kayle is old and "the technology just wasn't there."

I personally like champions that are statchecks. They allow me to focus more on my macro and less on micro, which is why I always played her jungle; it just defined her macro gameplay even more. Being able to effectively play the game is just as, if not more, important than being able to play your champion. That's why I've never liked Riven or Yasuo, because playing them well relied too much on just knowing how to play your champion and neither really encouraged you to learn how to play the game (not to say Riven and Yasuo players don't know how to play the game, just saying that those champions do not, in a stable meta, need to know the game to do well).

The problem with that is that to improve you should be able to play a harder champion and do macro at the same time. Stat check champions feel bad to play against because there is no interaction besides hitting C, which feels bad to lose against. It would be, why play a more mechanical champion if you're guraenteed to lose because you fail the stat check regardless of skill.

That's where their counter play/counter picking comes in. They pick the stat check, play someone stronger early to make sure they never get to be bigger. They counterpicked your weak early-game with a statcheck champion? Look to roam often and play safe by just farming. Be aware when they are about to engage so you can start to disengage before they even do so.

Statcheckers require you to adjust your strategy accordingly in a way that not many other champions do.

Some stat check champions don't have terrible early games. For example Kayle top, or Yi afk farming until he has the items to just murder someone and shove down a lane and force you to focus him.

Note that I said stronger early [game]. With Kayle top you could play someone like Renekton who has nice gap-closer to get in before she starts hitting you. Master Yi definitely has a mediocre early game, so with the right champions cough XinZhao cough you can absolutely destroy him early game with invades.

So do a lot of other champs

They should do the VGU for the outdated sisters then release an event for Dawnbringer Kayle and Nightbringer Morgana

I think the issue with Kayle is that she is tied into Morgana lorewise. So they feel like they can't update one without updating the other. So it is basically twice as much work and they keep pushing it back to deal with other issues first. But I hate Kayle and can't wait for her to stupid ult to be replaced with something less stupid.
