AP Mid Level 6 Burst Chart/Sustained Damage Chart

Hey guys I thought I would show you the chart of who has the best burst damage at level 6 for AP Mid Mages and another chart with the best sustained Damage champions. The AP Burst Chart is made assuming both mid laners have 50 AP, 800 health and the ability with the best scaling is what gets the 3 points in it. Also all DoT spells get 1 second of damage unless they have a CC ability that locks them down for longer then they get the DoT for the amount of the CC. So Swain gets 2 seconds on his Q but Malz gets his whole ult since it suppresses the enemy. The sustained damage chart is a little harder and is made over the course of who can deal the most raw damage in 5 seconds in league. The numbers are insanely hard to calculate so I will just list the champions and we can discuss that.

Top Sustained Damage Champions (Info Taken from Multiple Online Sources)

  2. Twitch (I guess this was assuming he hit 3 or more targets with his ult)
  3. Vayne
  4. MasterYi 5.Jax This was the general consensus on the top 5 with a couple variations such as Kalista Heimerdinger Jinx KogMaw Tryndamere Tristana Riven Vladimir Yasuo thrown in as well.

My biggest shocker with this list I think was that Fiddlesticks has the same level 6 burst as veigar. That seems pretty insane to me.

Some questions: 0. Did Diana ult twice with the reset and did you include her passive?

  1. Did Anivia get her E's bonus damage?
  2. Did Swain enhance his entire combo with his E?
  3. Did Katarina proc her Q?
  4. Did Vlad enhance his entire combo with his ult, and did you count the ult proc?
  5. How many, if any, procs of Lux's passive did you include?
  6. Did Xerath hit with the centre of his W?
  7. Did Brand get the bonus damage on his W, and did you only include one hit of his ult?
  8. For how much of his combo was Rumble above 50% heat?
  9. Did you include the bonus damage based on enemy AP when calculating Veigar's ult?
  10. How long did you let Gragas' Q charge for?
  11. How many mines were calculated in Ziggs' combo, did you include his passive, and was his enemy in the centre of his ult?
  12. Did Fizz enhance his combo with his ult?
  13. Did Kennen use one of his enhanced autos from his E?
  14. Did you include the small bonus damage from Akali's passive on auto attack, and how many times did she ult?
  15. I assume you maxed W on Leblanc, but her combo actually does more if you max Q. How high would her burst be if you maxed Q?
  16. For all champions that use an auto attack (Akali, Kennen, Ziggs, etc.), did you include the AD from the attack? Many of these would greatly change the scores of those champions, so I'm curious. -Pope Charles IV

Surprised that Diana has such low damage according to your chart.

I don't know how you calculated the numbers, but assuming that she gets 1 passive proc off along with the double R damage, with 50 AP, I'm getting that she should do 647 damage rather than 469.

Also, am I blind or is Velkoz not on the list?

EDIT: Reading through the other comments, it seems like you already mentioned that you didn't count the passive damage, but still that would only be 90 less damage, so 557 rather than 469 with 50 AP.

Everything looks about right other than Fiddlesticks.

He doesn't burst. He slowly Caw's you to death.

well, the numbers are a bit deciveing, as some champs cast 1 spell more than once in one burst rotation. Also, some numbers are outright wrong, probably disregarding AAs. TF for example has 368damage burst with rank 3 Q, rank 1 e+w and the AA that delivers W+E

Ryze looks like crap by those numbers, but if he plays the combo perfectly, he deltes you just as fast as a LB at 6 with passive

Diana seems to be missing the passive+atleast 1 AA for it+second ult, which gives her 665

I'm also not sure what'S your math on anivia, just q+e with 50 ap already is 450damage...so even with only one ult tick it's above your value.

I also get 695 for swain, asueming E is maxed first and used as opener, so 14% damage amp on all...

And Galio reaches 715 from my math...seems like you asume minimum damage on ult for some reason, though he will usually deal max damage, unless he has an isolated target, as it only needs 4 hits vs him in 2 sec to reach max damage, minions counting aswell

Morg reaches 860 for me, useing a 25% dmage mod on her W. With ult+Q, she can keep a target cced for the full W duration.

i probably could go on but i leave here...

for those who wonder, here's vel'koz if he lands all he got at 6: 1000+2.9ap+255truedamage from passive = 1400 total with 50 ap, leading the lvl 6 all-in burst by far. even if we asume only 1 W(it has 2 stacks), it's still 1215damage and with that far on the top...

As far as Kass is concerned I guess it depends if you didn't max q or e most people will max q for poke and it does more damage. Then I max e then w last reason. Being is w does less damage and less ratio then q or e

I'm surprised Fiddlesticks isn't in the sustained damage list, considering that 5 seconds is his burst window. Assuming no bounces on his Dark Wind he does 1562 magic damage while your MR gets hit by his passive.

It's funny you didn't include Vel'Koz because he easily takes number 1 on the list even without any AP

Idk what counts as 'burst' in this chart

Does Fiddle's full channel ult fall under his lvl 6 'burst'? What about when his Dark Wind bounces like a billion times between 2 people?

If it isn't any trouble, can you try to do one for late game level 18 with each champion having around 700 - 800 AP? I'd love to see the results as this one was extremely interesting!
