can someone tell me why renek is so strong in lane and out of lane?

im having a hard time watching a renek fall off when hes still destroying everyone while being tanky as a mother fucker.

bc/titanic or youmous and he melts anyone in a 1v1.

teamfights he still does great in.

laning is a different story.

you hear the word counterplay a lot.

in a lane as a melee vs renek, that sort of thing doesnt exist.

hsi combo cant be outplayed.

u can bait out his shit but he still does more damage.

after 6 u get dove instantly for free and u cant do a single thing about it.

where is the trade off for picking renek ?

where is the point when the champ faces a downside in winning lane so easily?

You have wrong conception of this champion. Renekton isn't strong out of lane. What you are talking about is Renekton who got fed is strong outside of lane and that can be said about pretty much all solo laners in the game.

The trick to Renekton is that he has very strong early game and he relies on it to get fed/ahead, if you deny him kills and won't fall behind in cs too much, he is easly one of the most useless(for the team) champs in the game. All he can do is single target stun.

He falls of late, just like pantheon. All they do, if they are not fed is single target stun.

renekton isnt that great honestly . he just an early game champ with snowball potential. he going be strong 1 vs 1 reguardless but he fall off late game because he cant do much in team fights exept be a meatstick

Range poke penalizes the croc decently.

Try Gnar or Panth.

Actually, you can just spectate SoloRenektonOnly (SRO). He usually declares wich match ups are the hardest for a Renek main.

Take any splitpusher and break him (if you're not too much behind). He don't have any sustained damage in his kit, his ult don't give much tankyness.

In teamfight other diver can be much more efficient. His double dash isn't so much mobility compare to a Vi or a hecarim. Burst fall off, only a short single CC without range. A tank would be much more effective with more resistance, so much more CC/utility.

Even if it's impossible to outrade a renekton early, you can completely survive him even with weak early pick.

Ofc he can do things outside of lane, just as same gold he won't be as effective.
