Play as Kayn.
Hit nothing but Illaoi and WW. Get 3 kills on Illaoi. Get 99% to Transform. Kill a Zoey. Get Shadow Assassin, after purposefully targeting Rhaast.
Just give Kayn the option to freely choose if you don't feel the need to polish the mechanics.

Then you don't have the problem of Kayn singling out certain lanes over others simply because the enemy in that lane is ranged/melee.
You know what else is triggering? Going after Jayce as Kayn. You're not far off from going Rhaast and, right before you engage, Jayce goes ranged mode and completely screws you out of your preferred form for the next several minutes.
