How often is it worth to build 3 crit items

KoKoboto··1 votes·821 views

I've been trying to get 70% crit but that often means not buying bloodthirstier or something cause I like Yommus Ghostblade Is it worth or not worth?? Does going Warlord's bloodlust even out bloodthirstier?

What 3 crit items? And for what champion?

And you can get 3 crit, lifesteal, GB, and then boots

It depends.

The only time you should be looking at a 3rd crit item is if you pretty much already have 4 items already (IE or equivilent, AS + crit item number 1, lifesteal item, penetration item). Then you have to make sure you don't need a defensive item (or think you can use Phantom Dancer as your defensive buy). You could also rely on Mercurial Scimitar as both a lifesteal and defensive item, but the lifesteal is only 10% - half of what Bloodthirster offers.

Or you could be Koggles in a "Protect the Koggles" comp and just rely on your team to make sure NOTHING gets to touch you. But that's risky.

Be yasuo, take full crit chance runes, then by a zeal for 100% crit XD

If you know your support is going to build zekes, then I'd encourage adc's to only build 1 zeal item (as you don't really want to have 'wasted' crit chance when zeke is procced).

Otherwise, it can be viable to build another zeal item for more consistent crits, but you are giving up survivability for it, so you want to be confident you can snowball off it and/or keep yourself safe.

Usually on Quinn(bot lane) I build Yommus, Phantom Dancer than IE or maybe ER (not really sure which one to build atm)and after wards I want to build either IE or ER depending on the one I already bought earlier. By doing this I only have 1 item slow left for life steal, armor penetration or Mercurial so I'm not really sure if going 3 crit items is even worth and I really love Yommus active.

item 3142 is more suited for high burst assassins, though Twitch is a good user of this as well due to his assassin style take at Marksmen. It's active gives you a +40% attack speed boost and a +20% movement speed boost, but for only 6 seconds.

Well for Quinn something I would try is one of these that I just theory crafted (Names are just for laughs).

Full on split push hell: item 3508 item 3031 item 3087 item 3085

I dare you to duel me: item 3508 item 3031 item 3046 item 3094

These builds will net you 100% Crit, lots of attack speed, some serious Move speed to make your ult always that much faster, and maxed CDR.

Overall for Marksman item 3035 and its upgrades are better when compared to flat pen items like item 3142 since the Marksman are better at taking out tanks like Nautilus due to their constant DPS against them and their large volumes of Armor they build. Assassins get more out of flat penetration then Marksmen due them aiming to "POP" a lower armor/MR target like most Marksmen and Mages (there are a few slight exceptions though).

Making another comment since you want to stick to three crit items (though it will only get you 70& Crit usually). A 3 crit item build for Quinn that I would do is just adjust the ones I mentioned and get rid of the item 3085/item 3094 for the respective builds. Get a item 3035 upgrade and a Lifesteal item (item 3072, item 3139) or THE Physical vamp item (item 3812) then shore up your defenses with a item 3026 since it lets you come back once.

When the enemy has like no armor you can go a 3rd crit item instead of LW probably
