what is it? is it about team strategy? then why is the main mode that everyone is ranked on called SOLO queue, why do assassins exist. is it about solo carrying? then why do "support" champions exist, why do tank champions exist.

is it about having fun? then why do players on this game get so angry.

why do some champions have 7 spells and some only have 2 ?

why are the old champions so different to the newest ones?

how do new players play past the first 50 games without quitting?

Because not everyone is capable to get 4 other friends together consistently enough to play.

Also, the Assassin question is simply a bad question to ask. For example, Assassins have terrible team fight utility, and MUST rely on teammates to start fights or else they themselves will simply fail.

No.

You call the competitive ranked mode the "main mode", and then proceed to backpedal and ask if this game is all about fun...

Normal games is about fun, ranked is about being serious. Any players who are playing normals to be serious or ranked to troll are simply mismatched players, the game modes themselves however have very clear distinctions at least on the level of expectations on the players.

Because, if the champion is well designed, those 7 spells are individually far weaker than the 2. Rek'Sai's ultimate for example, unlike virtually every other Ultimate in the game, has extremely little team fight or 1v1 fight application outside of positioning Rek'Sai.

You're going to need to have a more specific question if you want a serious answer.

Probably the same way any player learning to play a new game gets into a Multiplayer game. Personal investment be it entertainment, playing with friends, or literal investment.
