Promotionals are the NUMBER ONE cause of "toxicity"

Legit. I hate the word "toxic," but knowing that one game is going to set you back 5 puts people on tilt before it even begins. I can speak from both a first person and a third person perspective.

Not only does it cause anger/frustration/trolling, but it's also shitty game design. It's basically the Elo system but with random games that cost 5x the elo.

This has been your daily truth rant.

Idk, knowing more is on the line makes me less prone to giving up, and more likely to do my best to keep the team positive. Seems to me that people that just get angry and abusive about it are just naturally assholes looking for a reason.

I don't like promos and demotions. It puts too much weight on matches that are essentially 4/5ths random. I don't like that much weight on something I can't fully control.

This is the long version of what I want to say.

The short version is this:

You need one game to get into your promos, and then you need to win 2/3 at that. So I need to win 3/4 (or 75%) of my games to promote. Most win/loss ratios average at ~50%. Also, this doesn't factor in MMR. With normal games, MMR determines how far up/down you go. With promotionals, the system doesn't care that you're fighting diamond players. I have to prove that I'm better than Diamond 3 players in order to advance into Plat 3... why?
