Riot, for champs you don't want to build tanky
Wouldn't the most practical thing to do on non-tanky champs being played as tanks is to reduce their damage/mobility based on the more tank stats they build?

Well, you don't build tanky and you get 1shotted by a crit from 500 to 700 range. How is this fair?

Generally speaking, Riot doesn't actually want to do that, unless said champion had an inherently problematic mechanic that needed to be kept in check. (Looking at you, health battery Raka)
Generally, they won't care if Ekko built 5 AP items or none. As long as Neither build becomes oppressive. Considering That Bruiser Ekko didn't have a large enough of a trade off for building defenses, They adjusted his base damage, while trying to keep his AP build intact. But they wouldn't do anything that would actually inhibit building defensive stats.
Riot generally goes away from punishing you with stats for building something, it's clear they don't want that kind of ideology.
Why would you punish an assassin for being mobile? The best thing to do would be to nerf the items they're building. If they're still being exploited as tanks, move to their stats like health and armor per level.
yeah let's eliminate the market by punishing players for buying items.
that way DOTA 2, Smite and every other MOBA in existence will gain market share.
