Doran's Shield buff when?

Item is still garbage against Kennen or Jayce top. Will we see a miniscule buff or at least something changed in the pre-season?

Typical ranged vs melee match

Melee gets poked too hard

By the time melee closes gap, melee is too low to actually fight

Melee is forced to recall multiple times

Melee is now behind in gold and level

Melee loses first tower

Ranged champ is now lvl 14 while melee champ is lvl 11

Team fight team

Melee dies in 1 second because underleveled/underfarmed/is not tanky despite building straight tank

Pretty much my experience from what ive seen

It is a bad item. I think if they just lower the cost more people will build it. If they buff everyone will take it top.

They do need to do something about item 2033 . It seems like it is a pretty good item on most top laner if you don't know how you are going to itemize.

The problem is that a few top laners don't benefict from the potion because they have no mana (Garen, Shen, Dr. Mundo, Illaoi(?), Kled(?), Maokai(?), etc) And others prefer starting Doran's Blade or other options...

Wait are you saying this is a problem with the potion? I think a lot of top laners like it, but few top laners like doran's shield. item 2033 is just a better item overall and most other top laners take either the doran's blade or start their first item.

Doran's shield just stinks in general but severely altering will probabably make it too strong.
