Aatrox in his current state is such a garbage champion. His W's passive heal is laughable, and when you trigger the damage aspect of it, he literally kills himself regardless of how much lifesteal you have. Its unreasonable to say the least that its such a garbage ability.

His passive while it can be very clutch has the most laughable regen out of anything i have seen. Instead of it being a % of his HP ( hes not a tank so it makes no sense to be a % HP ) it should be a flat amount that is comparable to a zilean ult at a moderate amount of AP.

His Q's dash is easily the most obsurd mechanic in the game for dashes... every single other champion in league when they use a dash instantly begin movement... but for some reason you people at riot make Aatrox take about 1 full second of flying straight up before he even begins his dash almost guaranteeding that if used for a DEFENSSIVE mechanic to get away, he will always be caught and CCed because simply walked gives him more distance than his Q.

I dont understand how you have a life leech based speed attack champion who is outscaled by literally every other auto attack based champion. Even master YI with no real life steal items out lifesteals a champion with a built in lifesteal mechanic.

You people seriously need to rework Aatrox or make half his kit somewhat relevant before he turns into "who is aatrox"

Honestly I think he's pretty good at the moment. The preseason meta shift has definitley done him some favours. Apart from the Brok nerf, but I don't really build it on him anymore (not as a first item anyway). But first of all in regards to some things you mentioned:

  1. his blood thirst heal is defnitley not laughable, don't know why you would think that. It makes 2v1s incredibly easy since you gain so much health if you are below 50% HP.
  2. His blood price damage doesn't kill him. Especially not regardless of lifesteal. You completely negate the damage it does with BT. you drastically reduce the damage it does with any lifesteal item even a vamp scepter.

I do agree that his passive should scale of %HP instead of a flat amount but at the moment (imo anyway) building him more as a light fighter instead of a bruiser seems to be more effective, meaning I don't usually buy health items on him at all apart from maybe a sterak's or a black cleaver, depending on the situation.

I would say the reason his Q is the way it is, is because it is not just a dash it also contains a hard CC displacement. But you are right it is very unreliable to use and very easy to dodge. Also only displacements will interrupt it.

I've mained Aatrox for a while now and honestly he doen't scale that poorly if you build him right. That does mean he is very item dependant and therfore easily shut down. But if I don't fall behind I can kill most asassins and bruisers and even the likes of Darius in a 1v1 situation. He also snowballs extremely well. If I get ahead I've been able to 1v3. Maybe you just haven't found the right playstyle for him yet.

you could be right. I don't have alot of games in my match history of him, but I have played him vastly since his launch as he is one of my favorite champs in the game simply because of who he is, not what he can do.

With the changes to LW being able to have a reduced heal now, even though not a core item, this single handedly shuts aatrox down.

He isn't just item dependant, he's dependant on the items the enemys choose too, and while that can be argued for most champions, none of them are more prevelant than the way aatrox deals with it.

He was designed as a life leech tank, not in the sense of being a tank, but life steal and attack speed are the core of aatrox sustainability.

He lacks the burst of other champions... even with decent AD, his heal still isnt really alot, 100-150 hp every 3rd hit really isnt that impressive unless you build pure hp and attack speed which you cant do. His burst isnt really comparable to other champs because he can only really "burst" when he ults, but thats no different than master yi, except yi has more utility, mobility, damage, and better procing.

When a yi with BOTRK as his ONLY life steal item, can out trade an equal level, equal farmed / fed aatrox who has 30% life steal, i personally feel thats a bit counter intuitive to how aatrox was designed.
