Yeah, I don’t even know why I read the boards anymore. It’s just lots of whining and toxic people. I wish Riot took better care of it.

The boards are far from perfect, but Reddit is just an upvote farm.
The community is like this because riot doesn't communicate with it. They let stuff that isn't true spread.
to make it worse they respond to stuff in memes and games and to make it even more worse they are very active on Reddit which is the exact opposite in the boards in that they only ever praise riot which is worse then what the boards does. Better to know something is wrong then to not be told about it. Even if it isn't in a constructive way
There are many posts that are thought out have facts backing them up, but riot doesn't say anything to them anyways. They don't need to respond to every little thing but it wouldn't hurt them to do it more then once a blue moon

Another thing that annoys the fuck out of me about boards is -
When a post goes up from a champion's main about that specific champion's balance state and people who have literally played 1 game of the champion join the thread and start acting like they know the champion.
If you attempt to counter argue them in any way, you get called "Biased" and down voted to oblivion.
At this stage I wish Riot would just disable the voting on posts.
It's not in anyway useful and just gets abused.

its kind of like a restaurant, first time they bring you your soup with a fly in it you go "excuse me there's a fly in my soup", when they keep bringing you soup with flies in it for 3 years at some point it turns into "can you dense motherfuckers understand that I don't like flies in my fucking soup". but hey the customer sucks ass and should just politely and constructively mention that he would prefer a soup with no flies in it, right?
Then again, if I worked at Riot and someone called me out on my shit or proclaimed about me not doing my job, I'd answer them without going full Sanjuro.
I feel like the boards is the only place I can voice my concerns about the game, and my opinions on changes and other things without getting mass downvoted on Reddit.
I think a majority of the flame is unjustified. But, its annoying that we're all left in the dark. A game is nothing without its players, and the players are begging for the game to change back to how it was, bringing up GOOD points (shit like everyone being able to 1 shot and towers being beyond useless) and asking questions, Riot ignored literally every single one of them, but they comment on shit like "why would anyone pick a rock type pokemon"
The boards wouldn't be as aids of a place if there was actual discussion happening. But after 1000s of posts saying "Damage is too high" or "Towers blow pls buff" we get ignored and the EXACT opposite happens, towers recently got a nerf and damage across the board has continued to go up.
I love Riot, but they're being dumb as hell and i think some of the blame should be placed on them as to why the boards (and the game) are in such a trash place.

10 years of permabanned vengeful rage kids that terrorize every game. I would estimate there are 100,000+ permabanned people still playing this game, trolling on a whim.
Permabanning doesn't work unless they enforce an i.p ban, like how does permabanning stop the community from getting toxic when they can still make new accounts, it's all about profits for this company. Not community reform.
