If DFT is gonna have an ad ratio too. Then let Warlords give spell vamp too.
There's so many more options for Ad's. By allowing this, this may open up some more build paths.
I'm tired of this ad favoritism.

The only issue I can see with this is, pretty much all AP champions don't really benefit from Lifesteal, but most AD champions will benefit from both Lifesteal and Spellvamp. This would be ridiculous on Jax and such.

jax and who else?
ez, varus, wukong, yi, yasuo, ww, riven, etc. Basically any champion that has an ability. well it would work on them at least, i don't know if it would really be ridiculous or not.
irelia.
I believe we forgot Akali, Tristana, and WW. Although, this could also be useful to AP champs such as Diana, Twisted Fate, and pretty much every melee AP champion.
Lee Sin
vlad oh my god how could ANYONE forget VLAD?!
he isnt ad
isn't the topic if warlords gave spellvamp?
The topic was how a lot of ad champs benefit from spellvamp as well as lifesteal, so adding spellvamp to bloodlust would buff it for a lot of ad champs.
Doesn't need auto attacks
See Wimbledofy's comment and add in Mordekaiser and Corki and anyone who uses AA and Abilities as well as dual scalings.
Wouldn't anyone who builds devourer/rageblade benefit massively, or does spellvamp not work on auto-attack based damage?
(Spellvamp is a little confusing for me, is it you gain health based on magic damage you do? Or maybe magic damage you do with abilities specifically? Or is it just based on damage you do with abilities?)
Either way, if I was correct in any of the three scenarios I listed above, Kayle would benefit HUGELY wouldn't she?
"Spell vamp is an offensive stat that converts a percentage of the ability damage dealt to health regained. Activated abilities that do not state they "apply on-hit effects" or modify your "next basic attack" will benefit from spell vamp."
From what i can understand, spellvamp only applies to abilities. If you want some healing from on-hit, Gunblade goes of all damage dealt, and Deaths Dance goes off all physical damage dealt.

jax and who else?
Jax, akali, morde, kayle, corki (maybe), yasuo, kennen, quinn, graves, etc.

jax and who else?
Pantheon (Spear Shot can critically strike and is single target), single target nukes like Garen, Darius and Lee Sin.
...basically any attack speed champion.

Spellvamp only procs on spell damage, on-hit magic damage doesn't proc it.

MM, as he lives and breathes. ^^
Why not make it give you lifesteal OR spellvamp depending on if you have more bonus ap or bonus ad. Simple fix
It's not equivalent at all and it's not favoritism. It's because spellvamp is a broken stat.

A broken stat that only 3 champions even consider purchasing, and is only available on 2 items in the game
correction, three, hextech gunblade(still has spellvamp built in it's sustain) will of the ancient, and hextech revolver

Irrelevant. Nobody wastes a slot for the extra revolver spellvamp. There might as well only be two
to be fair, there's actually only one item that's got TRUE spell vamp, it's revolver, the others aren't even labeled as spell vamp.
all keep forgetting
, it gives 10% real spellvamp on it's passive
And it's those champions that are the reason it's broken and why you don't see it more often.
is like the #1 reason Spellvamp HAS to be bad and in limited supply.
Only three champions consider purchasing it because it was toned down, specifically for the purpose of making sure on of the aforementioned champions doesn't abuse it.
Not sure why people are downvoting this. It's the truth. Riot has even flat out stated that spellvamp is a problematic stat.

its not a broken stat. its just because of certain champions whos kits are focused around spellvamp

It is a broken stat - it's broken in concept. It's meant to be a mage's version of lifesteal, but when you boil it down it's like four mage' version of lifesteal, several champion's version of super lifesteal, and everyone else's version of wasted gold.
That's rather inaccurate. Once upon a time it was a staple for pretty much all mages.
are only the abusers you think about these days. But at one point:
were huge problems with it too. Spell-vamp is a VERY abusive stat. It's just been nerf'ed so hard for so long most people don't remember how bad it was (or weren't around for it).
I don't think so. While I do believe you, I still think the general gist of what I'm saying was still true even then, except just how good the numbers were on spell vamp muddled it and moved the third category to "everyone else's subpar version of lifesteal that was still solid if you built AP." You'd still have a small number of champions that used it to lifesteal's level, have somewhat more that used it way too well, and then have everyone else who doesn't make use of it to well - it's just what you were getting out of the spell vamp sources meant you weren't giving up too much and you could still see life return from them as long as you weren't an autoattacker.
And even then, Jax.
This is a solution I have for it:
Warlord's Bloodlust If your champion has more Bonus Attack Damage than Ability Power, the champion gains increasing Life Steal as their health decreases, up to 20%. This is halved against minions. If your champion has more Ability Power than Bonus Attack Damage, the champion gains increasing Spell Vamp as their health decreases, up to 25%. This is reduced to a max of 5% against minions. Max Champion Life Steal- 20% Max Champion Spell Vamp- 25% Max Minion Life Steal- 10% Max Minion Spell Vamp- 5%
That way hybrid champions like Jax, Kayle, and the like don't abuse it to the extreme while also making it to where it isn't extremely abused for high AoE Mages. This would, of course, have to be done during or post Mage update so Vladimir doesn't abuse it as much as he would currently.
Not sure why someone downvoted this, you're making a great point. They've found a split that "works" with all the other masteries, why not this one?
Because it would be a balancing nightmare. Most AD top laners would double dip on it extremely hard. The best decision for this would be to just make another mastery and throw it right next to Bloodlust and have 4 in that tree. Even still though most mages don't like Spell Vamp since it is generally a useless Stat until you have a LOT of it since most Mages only get 1/3 benefit and the mastery would still be nerfed to the ground by the already ruiners of spell vamp.
Or just make a real keystone for ap User, currently, TLD is mandatory (and the only option for ap, which not forcefully fit with all ap) and DFT is garbage (except some boys
)
We can never have nice things.
The potential harm this change could bring is not worth it.
8-20% spellvamp at low hp? Akali would abuse that to high hell.
8-20% spellvamp at low hp? Akali would abuse that to high elo.
Fixed that for ya [slayer-jinx-catface]
8-20% spellvamp at low hp? Akali would abuse that in elo hell.
FTFY
20-8% at low hp spellvamp? Elo hell would abuse that in Akali.
when i saw this thread..what came through my head?
NO
FUCK NO
slowly dies inside
SHE ALREADY HAS SOME PLEASE NO
please give me aids with that cancer
jumps out the window
AD carry Keystone options:(5)
Warlord's Bloodlust
Fervor of Battle
Deathfire Touch (
)
Stormraider's Surge
Thunderlord's Decree
AP carry Keystone options:(2.5, i geuss?) Deathfire Touch Stormraider's Surge (But lets be real, have you EVER seen an ap champion take this and do well?) Thunderlord's Decree
...Really Riot?
I've seen some
do quite well with Stormraiders Surge, because it has good synergy with his passive and kit in general. However, is it the best mastery for Ekko? I don't think so, but it is viable.
