@Riot Why the Lack of Changes on the Omega Squad Skins?

The community gave many suggestions on how to improve the skins and yet, none of it was used.

Why?

Twitch who hasn't gotten a skin in ages finally gets one and you guys somewhat half-ass it. A lot of players wanted:

  1. Twitch to hold his knife by the handle (Could adjust the knife itself to take care of the spike issue)
  2. His goggles to come down (Riot mentioned a lot of players wouldn't notice, but obviously it's a highly requested feature it's noticeable)
  3. His grenade to have a different sound effect than a casket from his base skin (I'm honestly really surprised by this)

Veigar also got a lot of feedback from the community:

  1. His ult feels underwhelming
  2. Players wanted Veigar to use his gun more(i.e. ult or q)

No. 1 a rioter even commented about and said they were gonna make changes and yet there are no changes and the skins are now being released.

Is there a particular reason for the lack of changes?

The knife on Twitch skin really bothers me. Wouldn't he cut his tail by holding it the way he does currently?

The best part about Twitch's new 1350 skin. He can't toggle the goggles while Neon Strike Vi and Night Hunter Rengar, both 975 skins can toggle their glasses and hood respectively. You can barely notice the Vi glasses as well.

I'm honestly not expecting a Riot reply though. They'll probably just sweep this under the rug since they basically ignored all the feedback in the intial thread they made.

Sadly I think they focus on a lot of the wrong things with skins in development.The most recent one that I personally remember was Heartseeker Quinn.Where it was pointed out how Valor looked more like a cockatiel than a dove,but they for some reason decided it was more important to give her tights and ruining the outfit design for fear of a panty shot happening with the recall.Instead of just making it dark/blanked out under the skirt.

You also forgot about they didn't change Twitch's taunt from his normal violin, so now it just a randomly swinging motion that makes no sense.

I'm quite disappointed in Riot, i.g. Veigar auto attacks don't even leave his gun and it's clearly visible that they appear right next to the gun, also the ultimate feels really lackluster.

Riot said they would look into changing these and i want to stay positive but knowing Riot Probably wont happen. [zombie-nunu-tears]

My theory :

they know the skins are going to sell anyways, and they've already finished designing them. They're not going back to add/tweak things, because as I already said, they know they're going to sell a moderate amount anyways.

it sounds greedy but its better for business I'm assuming, having their skin designers go back and do a pass over would be a "waste of resources that could be spent elsewhere."

thats just my opinion anyways

to be honest i dislike the veigar skin as a whole and there really isn't anything riot could do to make me like it more. the gun seems oversized and I dislike it being there all together. I also don't like giving a very magey mage a skin that would, on another champion, be modern projectile weaponry and explosives. It doesn't seem right to replace magic balls of doom with some explosives and call it a day.

I know full well that other people like this skin and I'm not against it's existence. It fills a niche because people like the idea of veigar nuking people (I do) and I know him actually literally nuking people is appealing. But to me personally it doesn't feel right and I don't want the skin. I love omega squad teemo and I really want that fizz skin, maybe even the trist or twitch one, but it doesn't feel right for veigar and I'm not going to get it because of that.

as a new player, the biggest (if not majority) temptation at this point is to use modded -or- custom skins made by people, because it unfortunately looks better than some of these "exclusive" high dollar ($30.00 for a skin, are you people insane?!) skins.

the fact you pay a happy meal for a skin is insane

the fact the good estimate 80% of player base bought skins with money makes no sense how this can still be called a free game

the fact you're doing a new game change(major one) and i've seen countless post asking for the old old players (not me) who played this game to be compensated for their (donations) on Riot Games for last (8 years ???) and all they get is...nothing? no free skins? free champions?

Even SMITE(god rest their bad soul) you pay $40.00 and get all champions, and future ones free for life

I'm sure people spent over $500 on this game, and still have to keep paying.

NOW that is saying something!

but SMITE does not have the gameplay or standard to sell past LOL

I can deal with the twitch knife with the explanation they gave: but they cannot justify the W: venom cask lack of sfx change for a 1350 rp skin. Lack of veigar changes is disappointing for veigar fans too. So much potential wasted :/

IMO, OS Veigar's ult should be the V2 rocket featured in his recall animation, it would add depth and be appropriate considering it's still a targeted nuke.

tehy explained the twitch knife one if held by the handle, it looks like a spike at the end of his tail and not a knife
