Okay, like hello? Why are high elo players moving DOWN when playing with friends?

I play normals to practice roles, not to get farmed and flamed all game by someone who is literally a whole 2 elos above me.

I am silver 3, highest rank on my team. Their team? plat 5 katarina. Call me crazy, but if someone wants to play with their friend on a high ranked account, shouldn't the natural response be for the low elo friend to play in a much higher mmr game? say like gold 2-3?

Literally just destroyed us and flamed us in all chat the entire game to ensure we were absolutely miserable.

Not to mention they had someone who was actually on a smurf account as well, just rampaging about in casual mode. Casual mode doesnt = i want to get roflstomped by far more experienced players. I want to practice roles in case i can't get my main..

Its almost as if...dynamic que was just a bad idea....hmm....

25 minutes in game +15 minutes with que and lobby

around 40 minutes of my time. idk how many games r a day you have time for, but me? not enough to where this doesn't bother me. No matter the mode, massively higher ranked players shouldn't be placed against far lower ones.

Trying to learn a champ and role, you know what i learned? Im not a good enough jinx to beat a fed plat 5 katarina.

That's not the point. Normal MMR has nothing to do with someone's rank, which naturally makes for bad matchmaking. If you want better matches, just play Ranked. Normal matchmaking has not been changed by the introduction of Dynamic Queue to Ranked, though I know it's the popular thing to blame DQ for everything.

When I was bronze 3 i got put up against plat 5 in norms... it's really not a big deal.

It works both ways, depending on the hidden MMR "normal matchmaking rating" every account has. For the most part it's completely independent of ranked rating so if a player doesn't play his normals mode enough he won't properly be rated.

If I were to duo normals on my main which is like top 0.5% level normals it's filled with high plats to challenger tier players or the occasional gold player on their one trick mostly playing OP meta testing stuff or on their comfort picks and anyone I bring along that doesn't play this game fanatically is gonna have a rough time.

So after a long time I leveled smurf after like a year with the intention of never playing hard on it. But showing off or doing well is just sooo much funnner usually so 200 games later it's also in the top 2%. RIP

So I'm guilty as sin in that regard but I'm just saying it can work against them too depending on the invisible numbers

If you wanna know, the difference between Silver 3 and Plat 5 is not all that big. I've seen very mechanically skills players in Silver elo (i,e. My Silver 4 brother who I've never beaten in a 1v1 if he gets Diana) and the main reason they can't climb is because they don't understand other aspects of the game like pressuring, map control, vision control or whatever.

So I would say, playing in a norm as a Silver 3 vs some mid to high gold, or low plat shouldn't really be THAT much of a hassle. You can beat them. And plus, why not try learning from those games? Can't improve by playing versus people who are worse than you!

Kat wasn't my lane. she was mid, got super fed, tower dived bot and farmed me after laning phase, i had no counterplay ever. I learned nothing from this game, i cant win mid for them and i cant survive a gank from a fed solo laner who is snowballing.

i know what you mean i really hate that and just now i had a game with a smurf and he stomped on everyone and how i know he was a smurf is that their last game they ever played that is shown is from december of last year makes me want to flip tables
