Riot's Priorities are Clearly Not In Check

All they want to do is continually pump out new champions to please the short-attention span and short-term commitment of their players, while so many champions have been out of whack and some are completely unfair to play against. I just wish they would take a fucking break from trying to make new champions just so they can earn a fuckton of money, and focus on improving and fine-tuning a lot of things that have been neglected.

At this point, the Riot balance team is committing suicide. With every new champ release, they just have more and more things to balance/nerf, and if they don't get their priorities straight, this game will become a load of unplayable shit within the next year.

edit: all you Riot dickrider's can downvote all you want, but this is the truth. Sorry, not sorry.

You do realize this isn't Season 2, or something, where champions are being released on a bi-weekly basis?

Ornn just came out a couple weeks ago. And it was said that the Invasion map was some sort of "spoiler" for the new champion. They already have another one in the works. So yeah, maybe it's not two weeks, but it's still ridiculous that they just keep putting out new champs and neglecting the already present problems. It's ridiculous.

If they stop all new champions and reworks until the game is balanced we would never get another new champion or rework. Not sure how using common sense on this is dick riding but whatever

I never said stop reworks. I'm not asking for complete balance. I'm asking for Riot to prioritize fixing some of the shit that is broken before they put out new shit that could be even more broken, further adding more onto their plate.

I don't think its possible to make everything 100% balanced and maintain diversity. The only way you keep every single factor fair up until a player gets behind controls is if all the pieces are equal every game. Not to mention the balancing is aimed at high elo/pro level, where those guys have the skill to maximize or diminish the power of champions. I won't disagree they work to get their cash too but the fact they change characters at all is awesome

Think of fighting games. Not many in the long list of titles out there have ever been retouched. The characters are the same all the time. If someone found something broken or unfun to play against it stayed that way. There's just THE META, and not the changing kind people slave themselves to in League.

I guess I'm saying give it time all the champs will get changed one way or another. Runes next year are gonna flip shit like crazy lol

sidenote: what do you think complete balance would be like? What is your picture of a perfect league?

How to make friends and influence people.

People are not going to give two flying Fizzes if you put any argument to them like you have. Not only are you insulting the company making the game, but you're also insulting the people who play it.

Sad thing is that you are, in a way, right. But because of the way you've presented it, no one will care.

Look, it's becoming a common thought slowly but surely that Riot is going to need to cut back on making so many new champions, because each one they release makes the game more and more... for lack of better terms, messy. Which would not be a bad thing in itself if Riot did not all but eliminate to more Niche characters. On top of that, kits are just becoming more and more similar, and you must wonder why they'd bother making a new champion at all at that point.

In short, you are right that it would be better to cut off making new champions. Hell, I'd personally vouch to make one new champ per season to be released in the preseason, giving them more time to come up with interesting kits and designs while also clearing more resources to hype the new champ (comics, stories, skin leaks, etc), as well as make better balance choices.

But the way you've presented this is just... inflammatory. So no one will care.

I was actually considering your point until I finished reading it. You said no one will care, yet you came to the post, and also decided to leave a huge comment on why my post is one no one will care about. I will consider your advice, but next time I suggest you use better wording as to not seem hypocritical.

If you really wish to pick apart semantics, that's your own choice.

But if you choose to write any argument in such a way that seems that not only are you insulting a game that people enjoy, but seemingly the people who may even read it, it devalues your argument altogether. It shows that you're arguing through your own flawed emotions as opposed to considering a serious problem. So, as I've said before, no one will care. No one will take this argument seriously in the slightest. And ultimately, that hurts the point you are trying to make as well as anyone who may or may not just so happen to have a similar argument.

In short, I am not in the least bit hypocritical. I am merely stating a fact that no one will truly care about what you've written, even if some happen to agree with you. It does more harm than good. So feel free to continue insulting your audience and the game they enjoy, but it will only make things worse.
