I feel like releasing an support weak was probably not a good call.

Releasing say a carry or laner in popular lanes weak tends to work out better because they are lanes that are popular(bonus if they are a popular archetype like assassin). In this meta carry supports like mages right now are the popular pick, much worse support is a lane that is generally unpopular and has been history. Mix that with an unpopular archetype(enchanter) and the interest in the champion goes away instantly.

Now rather or not you think the character is weak or just needs more time is not the argument however who is really interested in learning the champion right now is the bigger problem.

releasing a weak support is better than nerfing to the ground when OP. honestly speaking at least they can tweak whatever numbers they want to achieve 50% win rate.
