Nashor's Tooth Lux?

Went to Pro Builds and saw that a ton of the pros that use Lux in the rare instances they do tend to build Seraph's Embrace + Nashor's Tooth. Can someone explain to me why the hell this is a good idea? I tried it and it felt horrible. What's the Tooth good for? Why are pros doing this consistently?

That is interesting, it only started a month ago too. I went to lux mains, and this is the best answers that I found. https://www.reddit.com/r/lux/

_its not meant to make her faceroll easy its meant to cover the times lux dmg output is essentially 0 due to her spells being on cooldown(which compared to other mages like ziggs ryze ori cass is a big fucking percentage of a fight) thus increasing her dps and her general effecitveness in the late game if you dont play the correct style this kit facilitates its absolute shit. for the way most ppl play lux(waaaaaay in thebackline burst mage, pickfocused) its absolute shit. but im sure you had those games when theres a lulu or some shit in the enemy team and your effecitveness is about 0 because your entire dmg gets shielded/dodged while theres an unkillable frontline covering the enemy carries and you can never even scratch them. thats where you want to have this build because you can more than scratch that frontline, and thats why POE plays with this build because his enemies arnt retarded wont get picked by a lux and stand beind a 200 mr galio _

Hello everyone, My name is Tristan Schrage but most of you know me as PowerOfEvil The reason behind my Archangel and Nashors itembuild is that I always felt, with Morellos/Ludens or similiar item builds you are having a lot of mana problems while being in need to hit every spell. If you miss your spell or enemy player just dodges godly (Dont forget that I am talking about LCS or CHALLENGER level players), then you are really doomed since your CD's as Lux are really high and you cant provide anything for your team besides the shield. Enemy player could maybe have QSS/Cleanse too which makes your ULT hit potential really unreliable With my item build: Seraph Shield More Playpotential (Popping all passive's on opponents) [AA moving] + If you miss your spells you can still do DMG You deal more DMG with these items No mana problems (I dont know why but I go often out of mana with Morellos) More Summoner Spells (Less CD on them with the boots) More CDR FOR EVERYONE who says that in LATE GAME you shouldnt be in AA range I am really wondering where this fact comes from? IN LATE GAME you are supposed to hit and deal as much DMG as you can onto their frontline/tanks as soon as the fight begins (If you are not the focus) With Nashors you are going to deal more DMG to their frontline/tanks than with Morellos. I agree that you SHOULDNT be in range of an ADC since you are never going to out DMG him.

So it's basically for hitting tanks and jugs on the front line, popping your passive on repeat?

Thats what it sounds like. I'd imagine its harder to pull off because you're putting yourself in danger opposed to far backline lux most of us play.

I'd assume they use it against teams they can kite very easily. Nashor's Tooth is an absolute buttload of stats, if you get to use them all.
