What might or might not help tryndamere be just a bit more balanced.

Let ult duration scale with skill level but add more reward for using it.

That is the short version. Now let me make a long explanation as to what i mean and why.

Tryndamere is the fury of any and all toplaner and is incredibly hard to balance due to his immortality. The powerspike it gets can be stupidly op from the feeling and even riot admits that balancing him is annoying to them and hard.

I personally think he lacks risk. The only dangers tryndamere has aside from kyting is the mistakes a player makes with him. Bad players will never live while cautious and good players will essentially never die. So as an counterbalance to that i propose to shorten his immortality in the earlygame where there is no kyting (almost) BUT to compensate for it add more reward for it than just instantfury.

Sure. This will give me some weird looks. So i propose some overall balance changes too in his kit. Such being:

Stats: -Movement speed lowered to 330 from 345 -health reduced to 610 from 625.64 -health growth increased to 100 from 98 -attack damage increased to 62 from 61.376

Battle fury (Passive): -Reduce crit bonus to 0.2% per 1 fury from 0.35% per 1 fury

Blood thirst (Q): -change the base heal scaling into a 0.25 TOTAL AD from 0.3 AP -change the bonus heal to 0.6 / 0.9 / 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.8 per 1 fury from 0,5 / 0,95 / 1,4 / 1,85 / 2,3 per 1 fury -change bonus heal scaling to 0.2 (or 0.15) TOTAL AD per fury from 0.12 AP per 1 fury

Mocking shout (W): -increase slow to 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70% from 30 / 37.5 / 45 / 52.5 / 60%

Spinning slash (E): Unchanged

Undying fury (R): -Duration to 3/4/5 on skill level from 5 at all levels. -Gives 30 / 35 / 40% bonus attack speed and a 10/15/20% movement speed bonus. -increases the bonus AD per % missing hp bonus on Blood Thirst by 20%

Now i accept that i have a lot of flaws in this and quite honestly that is fine by me. This is an opinion based suggestion that is very open to critique. I can be wrong and turn him completely op or gutted with these changes but who knows. I think it will help him scale better with his build and give him more risk but also more rewards. My changes are to motivate people into building more crit and AD than going his 3 core items IE. Stattik and BorK then go full tank and still being as crit as a yasuo while swallowing damage like a maokai. We dont need to add ALL the changes maybe just one or two are what he needs? Who knows! I dont. Thats why i ask you guys!

He still has to buy boots and that leaves 2 items to "tank" with. There's also a ton of lane opponents that crap on him, and his w is countered by turning around at the right time. So many players mess up his ult that it's not even funny. Having q scale off of ad would be a buff, if anything. His e is the one ability you'd want to touch out of all of them for the sake of balance. Plus yi> tryndamere.

Might be. I personally have never seen a good trynda lose lane. Safeplay till level 6 then crap on everything you see. Thats how he feels right now. To me. As i said i might be wrong. Yes he can be counterey but mostly only for escapes sake. Fiora with her parry can do well i won't lie. But his immortality feels like a problem the most out of everything so i want to tie it more into his kit then already and also give it a bit of an nerf early while adding more scaling to lategame. Yes his Q can quickly feel like a buff earlygame im aware of that, but that was my intention if giving it more depth and connection was my goal. Make it feel more rewarding for a timed use.

Neverthless of my reasoning. Ty for your comment

I have a decent win rate with tryndamere, but I only play him jungle. I spin into the lane and w slow for the win. I'm also free to split any towers/take first tower. Gnar and nasus are two examples. Nasus is freaking beast vs trynda. Poppy as well.

as i said, tryndamere is deceptively weak vs kyting, and poppy and Nasus can do just that. poppy has an AoE slow she can place infront of her and walk through it to chase trynda off. but aside from that you really dont have much. Grievious wounds dont do a whole lot to him, even without his heals he still has his crits and mobility and an AD debuff.

All I can say is change the ult so he can die, period. No undying crap. The rest of his kit is dealable, but being able to sweep under a turret and get a double, tanking 7-8 turret shots, then spin away and heal for hundreds of health is just a bunch of crap and has no skill requirement whatsoever.

thats the big issue, it has become such a deep part of his kit and his playstyle already that they can't remove his immortality even if they wanted to. similar to warwicks surpression and galios Taunt, they just designed it differently, but it is still the same. and that will Need to be the case for tryndamere for him to still be tryndamere.

Okay, so a little context.

Poppy's old kit had something like Tryn if you remember. She targeted an enemy champion and was only able to be hurt by that champ, nobody else and no turrets, and she did extra damage to them. When they died, or the six seconds or whatever was over, she was "mortal" again. This was cited as "lack of counterplay" and why they changed her ult.

There is no counterplay to somebody who cannot die for five seconds unless you are Leona or Naut and can simply stun them again and again until they're dead. No guarantee, of course.
