Positional Ranks feel horrible

I don't play that much. I binge on games once or twice a week and one or two on a normal night. And that makes this feel horrible. Normally I don't mind swapping. I learned a couple champs for each role because I knew autofill was gonna happen and its simple as that. But switching in ranked now, I dread it. I barely have my secondary role out of placements, and nothing else. I play top and mid. Now is jg, support, or adc wants to swap, I just want to dodge the game.

This positional rank system feels like a total chore. I don't want to spend 8 games in 5 roles to get placed. I don't want to play promos in each rank. I just won't spend that kind of time on this game. While being placed against people that actually reflect my skill in a role is appealing, this implementation of that is not worth all the extra work.

Just my opinion on it, and I have the sinking feeling that this is here to stay though. If it is, I'll probably drop rank altogether.

It is horrific. I think I have to give up on ranked (and the game since most of what I play is ranked) for several months until the queues even out. I'm a solid high silver/low gold player, but I am something like -40 ratio on my W/L this season at Silver 3/4. The skill level balance between teams feels very off.

I've been saying this since the day it came out, it's a dogshit concept but since they run out of ideas they have to put out shitty new ones or the game will die. I pray it does.

I'm very much the same way and have similar problems with the positional ranked, although i haven't played a ton of ranked yet this season so i can't say definitively yet but it really feels bad right now lol

A little bit off topic, but where can you see your ranks for each role? I've only played one role, do the others show up once you play the others?

Play fill, I heard on a post like yours that if you play fill it drastically reduces the number of games you need to play.

Personally I think the new system is a natural and useful extension of role selection. If people only play one or two roles, why not rank them for those roles?

except that you dont have to do that. If you want to just play one role.. then just play one role. dodge everthing else, and you'll be fine, and your rank will be whatever you manage to get in that one role.
