So uhh.. I love the ranged top laners but I don't think they should be top laners....
Hey guys,
So i've been a big fan of
as champions, because they all have pretty cool kits, I do however think they them being top laners is sort of countering fun. let me explain
I think Riot needs to Rebalance and refocus these champions instead of just hitting them with a nerf bat, because most of them are actually unhealthy in numerous levels, to play against, or even to play as.
Of all of the ranged top laners, he has the best chance of being healthy in top lane assuming riot fixes him to require actual usage of his melee form more often in lane. Currently lethality abuse ruins this champion, after a cleaver and a ghostblade he does actively shit on many other champions until he is abruptly near useless around 25 minutes in the game. Nothing about this pattern is healthy, nor is his snipe. Personally i'd like to see the increased damage on his q require some other step, such as an all in, otherwise maybe even dissuade him from spamming lethality as it results in a diver with little to no defenses who simply takes 60+% of any squishy's health on a hit.
That being said, as a champion I think he has a lot of potential with his current kit, but he should be looked at in terms of his scaling, both early and late, and his reliance on defensive stats in order to make him less like the most extreme case of a sniper in the game since Lethality varus was around. Jayce could very easily be tooled into a mini-rework in which he was moved over to the bruiser classification. I think jayce would be healthiest as some sort of weird mid lane bruiser, but in order to do that his scaling would have to be adjusted and his roam would have to be looked at.
Whenever I play a melee champion I'd rather deal with megagnar, that's saying enough. He more or less is bad for top lane, Though I do think that gnar, like the next champion, could be an excellent candidate for jungle. Simply by adding some bonus damage on his W to monsters and decreasing vs minions.
Make her passive show up less in early game, but make it hit monsters harder. this would push her into the jungle. Quinn suffers from many issues, especially from her inability to teamfight, but her roaming potential would make her a great jungler and objective taker if her kit had just a gentle shove towards it. In addition she is already a scout, so it makes more sense than the ADC role
Teemo, who the fuck wants a teemo on your team, Every time I face a teemo it goes as follows: Fuck levels 1-4 because i hate life, then i finish just enough damage to 1shot him, then he's useless. If he is a good teemo, it might take until level 8-10 to do this, but eventually all i have to do is get close to him: This is because teemo is squishy like an adc, and actually has a lot of ADC like functionality. My suggestion is to give him a minor range increase, and then split up his stealth passive, with it being an active attack speed buff on his W, and the stealth while sitting being an active with charges. His on hit damage could become his passive. Following this we let him go bot lane
; who is also a Juggernaut that is ranged, and goes top. I think Quinn goes top because there isn’t really that many other options. So far this season I have played against an adc Quinn twice and Quinn top once. And teemo I think is because of his extremely short range, which is great against melee top laners, and the fact that his DoT from e can decimate solo laners like top laners. Teemo’s idea with e in the early game is to poke the living hell out of your laner. Which is kinda hard to do when there is somebody else there to heal/shield them, and his blind is only on 1 person.
