I suggested this to Riot's IT several months agoabout this since I am in IT Security classes this and they said "It would hurt too many users than it would help. Many users play on their laptops and move to coffee shops, hotels, etc. and play League."

Talking about notifying when your acct connects to a new IP

Great for people with static IP's. Annoying for those with Dynamic IP's, in addition to the situations mentioned. Laptops and playing in internet cafe's is huge in some areas, like Korea. It may work better for some servers, but overall it's not a terrible idea, just doesn't feel like it actually solves the issue.

Can literally just open your phone and get a code and that'd fix the IP security problem. Steam does it with mobile authentication. Atleast make options to increase security like Steam does. Steam uses HWID and has Steam Mobile Authentication as an OPTION. I use Mobile Authentication because 5 seconds of my time is worth saving the risk of having my account breached and losing hundreds of dollars.
