Will it the upgrades just enhance the current effects of the item in question or will it add a bonus effect?
Ornn looks cool and all but I'm way more excited for the potential of his passive.

These are the ones you should be keeping an eye on IMO since they tend to be large one item power spikes for a lot of champions.
Variks the Loyal1 votesA red's stated that it's not just the stats that get upgraded, but also the special effects do. It's probably just more numbers, and they said it won't add any actual new effects, but in particular looks juicy to me because Sheen and Rage are very potent effects for bruisers, and we might be able to double down with it since it's two unique passives instead of one for most items.
I guess get's to double down as well but I'm not sure if even more shred on champions that are primarily looking for squishy/semi-squishy targets is worth it.

Here's the thing tho. Don't expect the Ornn on your team to be crafting you a item component if that's what is allowed to happen because most of them are going to keep their gold, spend it on themselves and craft their own things.
I can see many fights happening on teams if this is the mechanic. Your ADC will want you to help buy them a Blade of the ruined king component every game. (it did say that it's limited) whatever it is.
We will just have to see tomorrow, no one knows anything yet.
Oakleaf Ranger1 votesEverybody gets one upgrade and the items that can be upgraded are already completed items not their components. No he doesn't upgrade items for you himself. The gold has to come out of your pocket. Based off what has been revealed so far.
Apex Support1 votesI think you missunderstood. The only interaction with the shop for allies is that they can buy 1 extra upgrade. "They have access to special upgrades for select items in the shop. Each player is limited to one of these upgrades." They can buy those extra upgrades them self so don't worry about ornn not buying it for you or having to spend your gold as ornn on your allies.
