After playing a bunch of akali i don't want her reverted

She's way more fun to play as than old akali, and i feel like there is a much larger window for counter play than her old incarnation that amounted to flat 1shotting half the roster and being effectively unable to kill the other half

some work needs to be done on her passive and mark of the assassin, it seems like it has a lot of bugs.

her energy consumption is kinda bonkers compared to lee sin, zed, kennen, or shen.

I think there is a place in the game for this kit, there just needs to be more direct counterplay. One idea would be to rework the shroud so that enemy champions inside the shroud could see her if she attacks them, even if a tower or another champion still can't (Relative vision might be weird to code but meh), If akali doesn't have shroud she can only attempt to escape.

she needs to be incentivized to max her W instead of her E second, this is because it will reduce her burst output.

Akali is SO HOT5 votes

You are already supposed to max W second. It also seems that a bunch of games means 4 games in Nexus Blitz in the past 7 days.

More than four

i've done at least 8 games in the past week plus a few practice modes

I'm not pretending I'm at 100k mastery yet or anything for new akali, but I'm able to see her weaknesses more clearly and not seeing much in the way of too much power, She seems to need a lot of specialization to deal with tanks, and is less mobile than various other fighters and assassins who have as strong of a duel power as her

You already do see her if she attacks you though, even if you’re not in the shroud with her

Maybe the auto should work like a dodgeable skillshot in this specific instance?

It's a rework, so it should be reverted. But what do i know, release the downvotes.

I didn't downvote you nor do i plan to

Not all reworks are bad, I mean a champ that needs a rework due to toxicity I wish would still be in the game at least in customs or something as like

Ryze MK1/2/3 etc

Champions should be balanced, not reworked. Removing characters from the game is not how those problems should be solved.

I'm not going to hate on anyone for liking reworks, but i don't think they should exist, and i'm going to voice that opinion whenever i can.

Some things really can't be properly balanced

for example, kalista. If you don't think she's a problem, go into the next meta where she's common and pick like.. darius into her, tell me how it feels.

Kalista is a problem now? Besides, Darius always had problems with ranged champions, that's nothing new.

Reworks are a part of mobas.

Happened in Dota Allstars. Look Some champions just have a weak or unhealthy identity some times your game design change.

Riots Developers season 1. They did some good work. But we had stuff like 3 second point and click cc. True stealth with few counters. a 400 gold Elixir, that you lose on deaths. or a 75 gold pink ward. A massive number of point and click that's only balanced by having bad numbers. No seriously you could do over 2k damage with AP trist builds using DFG, E, R.

Changing even 1 ability? that's a rework.

Your welcome to think that reworks that completely remove a kit and replace it are unhealthy or upsetting. But reworks alone are not a bad thing for the game.

Frankly if the kits not healthy id rather it be replaced from the ground up

akali should already be maxing W second. E is a trash spell

akali already has very direct counterplay; she reveals herself for a hefty duration of time, her stealth is limited to her smoke, and she can still be indirectly revealed by red trinket and the shimmer effect from hitting her with AOEs and skillshots, you can CC her to deny her passive after she hits a spell, if she Es backwards and doesn't hit you she's denied herself both her gap closer AND her escape. the only thing i think is a little iffy is how fast her R is, but given that you can deal with most of her kit very easily unless you're a champion she's meant to counter, i don't think it's a problem

E is so useful though.. at least in high silver/low gold where a dash is the best thing ever

maybe her R should require an extra step to deal its damage, like land a q after? Or even an E? (R makes next E cast deal additional damage, second R resets E and does the same again, adding more skill requirement)

from what i've been told a lot of high elo akalis will use E backwards because it's a better way to gapclose than using the projectile first, since it can miss and screw you up

i think her counterplay is fine, she's just going to be one of those champs who annoys people until something more annoying comes out. we still see it with darius and yasuo, people really don't like being outplayed

Imma try that, i'm silver cause i didn't do that intuitively

But i feel like everyone loves outplaying other people

that's why i sometimes advocate for every champion to be more like yasuo or irelia, because if every kill is an outplay instead of a cc chain or a 100-0 burst then noone can complain about getting whooped by a better player right?

well in theory, of course we'd still see people complain
