Just CC Them is not valid for any one champion

For carries or assasins, fine that is what it should be for, but I've noticed a lot of "just cc them" for darius, garen, yi, and other engage champions, and let me tell you this:

If you blow your cc on their engager(s), if their team is not literally a batch of 4 potatoes, they will go in now that you used your abilities... and their... wait for it...

Carries.

Will do their job destroying you.

CC is not a valid weakness to any one champion, as it is a vital teamfight resource that is only thrown out because everything in the game can die if stunned long enough. This is a "team" game, and that's the issue with balance.

"Just cc them" is a low effort response typically reserved as a reply to low effort QQ threads. You can have a deep, week long discussion on the ins and outs of a champion and their matchups, but if the original poster isn't willing to start that discussion with a bit of effort they won't get anything back.

You just called MasterYi an engage champion.

LOL

If you don't know the difference between engage and dive then you shouldn't act like an authority on balance.

no see, he thinks tank master yi is a thing.

that's why he said that.

Ever seen sated tank yi?

No, because that isn't how he is built. He has no CC, there is no reason to build him tank. You can build a tank item for survivability, like Yasuo, but he doesn't build tank.

Really? i build yi Sated, Deadmans, Titanic, (optional item here), Steraks and or Botrk. So yes.. you can build tankyish Master Yi, and i think it works better than Burst yi. (kinda like ekko)

Logic isn't welcome unless a pro does it.

That's why Anivia is good against them. She will AOE CC dot their whole team.

Correct. "Just CC them" isn't an appropriate answer because that's not all thats happening. In the case of Darius, Shyvana, Nasus, or Garen, what they really mean is "CC them enough to slow them down while we all kite back and focus that champion and zone out his allies." In the case of Yi, Zed, Yasuo, Kat, etc. what they really mean is "Hold onto a big CC ability until they try and make their move, and then use that CC on them and instaburst them." In the case of Kalista, Vayne, Xerath, Nidalee etc. What they really mean is "Hard initiate on one of these motherfuckers with hard CC and then pile them before they have a chance to kite it out." All 3 of those situations can be described as "Just CC them.", but what that actually entails are very different things.

Look, there should be around 2-3 (even 4) champions per team that have some form of crowd control to stop the enemy. Each one of them commits their crowd control to stop a target and thats 2-4 of the enemy team that is under the effects of crowd control and stopped. Also, you use crowd control to peel off their Carries, not their anything else. Most fights there will be one target you NEED to shut down, their carry. You shut him down with crowd control. Bang. Dealt with. Then there is the Juggernaut and Assassin, or whatever Fighter is up top. Your 1-2 other frontliners have to shut them down as well.

To compare it, its like american Football if both teams are on the offensive. You each got your Quarterback thats gotta get sacked. Thats number one priority. However, you also have to make sure your own doesnt get sacked as well. Thats where you make sure your Carry is also good with the ball so to speak. If somebody gets by, they have to know how to deal with it.

Therefore, crowd control is an excuse because its the best you can do. It may not completely stop the enemy team, but you are doing the best you can by using crowd control.

To summarize this all up: There is only so much you can do and, most of the time, crowd control is the best option.

MY point was if any champion's "only" weakness is "cc", which every champion in the entire game succombs to... well except ults Olaf kappa

This isn't okay. Ever. CC is a valuable fighting commodity that should not mean win or defeat against specific champions that are so incredibly strong that it's the only way to duel them. "Just dodge the spear" rings a bell...
