"Range" is too broken for LoL mechanics.

There is "melee adc" exist in the game but it actually doesn't work. Giving them a chance would simply destroy the game. Sion got reworked not because of he was useless but because top tier sion players could basically ruin your game without any counterplay against it.

Simply, adc means a champion with range firstly, who could destroy your whole game by right clicking and good positioning. It's actually true but why LoL mechanics doesn't support the "melee adc" playstyle. First of all there are not many melee champs, but it was fair number in season1. I didn't play at that time but my friends were playing the game, I remember the times where tryndamere,yi,sion could go bot as an adc with dodge runes and items, it actually worked. Well it was too op but it did work.

Range is the only thing an adc has to deal the highest dmg per second without having less problems but it actually ruining the gamestyle.

I always did wonder about it, "ADC" is attack damage carry am I right? So why not "adc" means by simply right clicking with high crits and a.s and lifesteal? Shouldnt simply every champ who can deal massive damages with low health be an "ADC"? Maybe the whole setup and gamestyle were around making range champs adc in the first place but I would like to see "ADC"'s have less range so there could be more playstyles about it. For example imagine varus with less range, he could be an amazing half tanky half arpen builded bruiser on top, or ADC would have even more range than now but they could have less damage so it could make the game more flexible and versatile. Ashe and cait are marksmans but they have to stay really close to their opponents.

Lets imagine 2 champs one adc(except varus) and one Melee carry Vs'ing. Unless you are tryndamere there is no way you win against an equal fed, equal skilled adc. now give that adc a redbuff, even tryndamere cant handle with it. Simply because range is ruining the whole mechanics thing.

I imagine how many good , fun , creative , unique champs riot could release if there was a "melee adc" playstyle. Balancing them could be the real problem tho but game could go totally different.

Mordekaiser...reworked into a melee adc failure XD

To be fair, it was a success on initial release. Simply due to how ridiculous his damage output was. And then he got nerfed.

Very true.. I actually liked what they were trying to do to incorporate a melee adc in bot..

I still have PTSD from the Morde flash third Q hit combo from before the nerfs.

One moment I'm CSing, suddenly Morde flashes out of a bush and I'm dead.

I went Morde support one game and ended up getting multiple dble and triple kills because my MF adc kept dying from positioning poorly..

So she made a comment saying how it felt like she was the support and I was the adc XD

Pretty much every melee ADC easily shits on just about every ranged ADC in a one on one. Vayne is the only one with any realistic potential of dueling them.

Ranged ADCs have a grip on bot lane for other reasons, like being able to more safely apply that DPS, better sieging, and scaling better with items than levels (even melee ADCs need levels to not blow up and die).
