Because she has a global taunt. People underestimate her a lot, they think vayne is even weaker than sona so they do weird engages at early game then die and feed vayne. And.... She carries single handly.

no shes just bullshit to deal with late game. absolute bullshit. she isn't a hypercarry in the sense that she will put out ridiculous dps. because she wont. but the wall stun and her dash ult combo is bullshit to deal with. the ult cannot be dealt with at 6 item threshold.

shes just so hard to get your hands on her when she ults and dashes around. the only way is to have a champion like amumu flash ult and delete her from existence before she even ults which isn't always an available option.

Just because a majority of the players are bad with a champion, doesn't mean this champion is bad.

Otherwise there would be no reason to nerf Azir in the past.

if it was just earlygame... The number 1 reason why vayne gets fed in my games is because people feel the urge to duel her in the midgame when she already has 1-2 finished items and her ult up. Trying to duel a vayne is about as smart as trying to duel a fiora, it's what she's ment to do.

Honestly after playing vayne myself I can see why she causes frustration. To put it bluntly, she never falls off in damage.

The standard adc/marksmen stradegy is to be as far from the enemy while still being in range of a target. While they are to prioritize squishes, sometimes they can't get past the front line and thus they focus on who they can which is the front/tanks. This means that lategame fights are determined by which team can get their damage to the back the fastest while protecting their own adc. Vayne puts this play style on its head.

See the reason the front become difficult for adcs to slip past is that if the game goes long enough, tanks will eventually be able to outlast basic harass and can easily set up a kill on the adc if not kill the squishy champ them self. Vayne never falls off however thanks to her true damage so the standard approach to team fights would quickly get your team massacred if the vayne had good positioning as the front would have less time to set up engages and be equally likely to get chunked by vayne if they get stunned.

So I understand why she's considered op.
